In its announcement some time ago, YouTube revealed that they would lower the requirements for content creators who would join the YouTube Partner Program (YPP).

In these latest terms, YouTube lowers many of the requirements for monetization. Like only giving conditions to creator content to have a minimum of 500 YouTube subscribers, to be allowed to apply for monetization. This figure is of course a significant decrease from before, where previously content creators had to reach 1,000 subscribers to be able to apply for monetization.

Apart from that, other requirements such as creator content must also have 3,000 hours of watch time, where previously the total watch time was in the range of 4,000 hours. Or you have achieved 3 million Shorts views in the last 90 days, where the requirement was 10 million views previously.

When content creators have successfully joined the YouTube Partner Program (YPP), they will have the opportunity to access a number of interesting YouTube features such as Super Thanks, Super Chat, Super Stickers, membership, to promote merchandise through YouTube Shopping.

However, for now the YouTube partner program lowers the account monetization requirements only apply in a few countries, such as the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Taiwan and South Korea.

But for Indonesian content creators, there's no need to worry, it seems that in the near future Indonesia will also be part of this reduction in monetization requirements.

So, for you novice content creators it looks like you will be able to enjoy money from YouTube adsense!

Apart from the news regarding the reduction of account monetization requirements from YouTube, currently YouTube is also intensively supporting the development of short video content.

This was demonstrated by YouTube in February. Where they launched a profit sharing system from advertisements for shorts content.

It seems that this step was taken in response to TikTok, which has also lowered the standard of access to monetization features for its creator content.

In this case, it will give TikTok content creators the opportunity to earn money from fans and followers who pay for additional content, engage in interactions, or support content creators financially.
