Pokemon Legends: ZA Announced! What's New?

GameFreak as the developer of Nintendo's legendary game franchise has finally announced their newest ninth generation lineup, namely Pokémon Legends: ZA!

This is certainly exciting news for those of you who have been waiting for it. So, for those of you who are curious, let's look at the complete review below!

Pokemon Core Series Ninth Generation

Before we get into the main discussion, it's a good idea for us to explore a little about the trivial facts about this lineup first, Vicigers! That way, your understanding will not be piecemeal.

After the success of Nintendo and GameFreak in releasing games Pokémon their ninth generation core series, this franchise then continued in the next installation.

The announcement of the presence of this game coincided with the Pokemon Presents Event on Tuesday, February 27 2024.

With the release of this title, the 'Legends' series has officially become a form of "spin-off" for the core series of Pokemon games in the future.

Yep, this will be Legends: ZA which will later become the second title, after in 2022 the developers released their first title, namely Legends: Arceus.

New Tradition of Pokemon Games

However, this scheme does not seem to be considered "profitable" by corporate parties at this time. They prefer to add various new things as DLC from the main core series titles (such as those obtained by Scarlett and Violet).

As a result, remake editions (such as Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl) will tend to be "thrown" to many small developers. Meanwhile, for the remastered edition, they switched to the Legends series.

Apart from that, the Legends series will also have a theme with a different time background than the original core series when that generation was released. This can be observed from Pokemon Legends: Arceus which is set in the Sinnoh region in the past era.

What will Pokemon Legends: ZA be like?

So, now let's get into the main discussion, namely about the title Pokemon Legends: ZA itself. Of course, as part of the Legends series, ZA will also be a remastered form.

Released for the Nintendo Switch 2 Platform?

The reason is, this Pokemon game will not be released until 2025, and even then there is no exact date.

However, many people think that it is very likely that the release of this Nintendo game will coincide with the release of Nintendo Switch 2 which will also be released next year.

It's good to be like that, because the Switch is currently too weak to boost new games. Just look at Pokemon Scarlett and Violet which had to experience various bugs and glitches, it's better to just release it on Switch 2.
