This is an original anime from Studio MAPPA

The anime was first announced in Summer 2023 and will be an original anime series created by the animation studio MAPPA.

Bucchigiri tells the story of poor Arajin Tomoshibi who ends up in a school full of naughty kids, even though he really wants the sweet high school years.

The Bucchigiri anime was directed by Hiroko Utsumi and written by Taku Kishimoto. The combination of two people succeeded in creating a unique and interesting cinematic experience. 

With an extraordinary staff, starting from Michiru Oshima as the music composer and Takahiro Kagami as the person in charge of character design, this anime produces a work of high quality art.

Utsumi's involvement as a director who previously worked on the famous Free and Kishimoto series Haikyuu adding value to the development of more complex stories and strong visuals.
