Mahito Jujutsu Kaisen profile

Mahito is a special grade cursed spirit and the leader of a group of non-registered Special Grade Curses who are allied with Suguru Geto (Kenjaku) to destroy humans and replace them with cursed spirits.

In the Jujutsu Kaisen story, he once manipulated Junpei Yoshino, a bullied student, and planned to hurt him. Yuji Itadori.

This moment marked the beginning of Mahito's major conflict with Yuji Itadori. Afterward, he became involved in numerous plots to exterminate Jujutsu sorcerers, including the incident in Shibuya.

He also swore an oath to Kokichi Muta to cure Kokichi. Kokichi would then become a spy at Jujutsu High School while providing him with information.

Even though his appearance looks like a human, his body has many stitches which make him look unique but terrifying.

In terms of personality, Mahito is a chill, cheerful, joking, childish, manipulative, sadistic and has no empathy for humans.

He believes he was born from human transgression and believes this is what fuels human hatred. Therefore, he desperately wants to eradicate humanity and replace it with cursed spirits.

His cursed technique, Idle Transfiguration, can manipulate the human soul to change the shape of his enemy's body.

He can even turn humans into strange-shaped creatures and this technique is very deadly for enemies who cannot protect their souls.

• Enhanced Durability: He is very difficult to kill, where his cursed technique can make him resistant to damage.

Intelligence

• High Intellect: Mahito possesses a highly intellectual Kampman, especially for a cursed spirit. He can accurately deduce when a jujutsu sorcerer is investigating him and will set a trap for his pursuers. Furthermore, he is adept at deceiving his enemies and often acts as the brains behind the faction's operations alongside Kenjaku.

Cursed Energy

• Cursed Energy Capacity: Mahito possesses a vast amount of cursed energy at his disposal. He can transform into over 1,000 humans without exhausting all of his energy, or simply store some of it in clones. This power can inflict severe injuries on his enemies.
• Cursed Energy Manipulation: As the incident progresses, he controls his cursed energy which can trick his enemies.
• Black Flash: Mahito can create spatial distortions when he links cursed energy impacts for 0.000001 seconds after a physical attack and delivers a powerful attack up to 2.5 times the power of a normal attack.

Cursed Technique

• Innate Technique
  • Idle Transfiguration: This cursed technique grants him the ability to reshape his soul. With it, he can shapeshift his enemies, heal his own wounds, transform his body parts into weapons, and transform anything. He can even create clones capable of using Idle Transfiguration for himself.
  • Soul Multiplicity: He can use his cursed technique to fuse two or more souls to cause a reaction due to the rejection of the union.
  • Body Repellent: By using the Soul Multiplicity effect and increasing soul energy, he can direct the extraordinary repulsive force of those souls towards his enemies.
  • Polymorphic Soul Isomer: Using Soul Multiplicity, he can unite souls into one body. This transforms him into a human who can attack enemies single-handedly. This figure cannot die in battle.
  • Instant Spirit Body of Distorted Killing: When he discovered the true essence of his soul, he formed a new, more powerful form. When he used it, he appeared muscular and fearsome. He could even revert to his true form at any time or when seriously injured. Mahito was so powerful in this form that he became a completely different entity from his other transformations.
• Barrier Techniques
  • Curtain: Mahito can create a barrier that can surround a certain area, later this barrier will close the area from other people who want to enter.
• Domain Expansion
  • Self-Embodiment of Perfection: Her Domain Expansion creates an environment that automatically connects her to anyone's soul and changes her target at will. She has more flexible control over this technique and activates it for 0.2 seconds.

Weakness

Below are some of Mahito's weaknesses in Jujutsu Kaisen:

Yuji Itadori

Yuji Itadori is Mahito's enemy because he can attack his soul directly. Due to his experience as Sukuna's vessel, Yuji Itadori can sense his own soul and attack, injuring Mahito's soul.

Sukuna's Existence

Sukuna, embedded within Yuji Itadori's body, poses a significant threat to Mahito. When Mahito touches Sukuna's soul with his technique, Sukuna can inflict further damage.

Therefore, Mahito must be careful when using Idle Transfiguration when meeting Yuji Itadori so that Sukuna does not attack him.

Resonance Technique from Nobara Kugisaki

Nobara Kugisaki's Resonance technique can attack Mahito's soul through his separated body parts including his clones.

Of course, this attack could have an impact on Mahito's real body so he could be injured even though Nobara Kugisaki was fighting his clone.

Black Rope and Inverted Spear of Heaven weapons

These two weapons can disrupt and dispel cursed techniques under certain conditions. The Black Rope can disrupt the effects of any cursed technique it comes into contact with, while the Inverted Spear of Heaven can cancel the curse technique outright.

Soulless Body

All of her techniques work by manipulating her enemies' souls. Therefore, machines or puppets lacking human souls can reduce the effectiveness of her skills.

Even though Mahito himself can destroy these objects, he cannot change them at will.

Curse Spirit Manipulation

Mahito is a cursed spirit so he can be the target of techniques that can control other cursed spirits.

For example, Kenjaku, using Suguru Geto's cursed spirit manipulation technique, was able to absorb Mahito after he was weakened in the Shibuya Incident. This made him appear immune to his opponent's cursed techniques.

Curse Energy Limit

Mahito possesses vast reserves of cursed energy, as his use of Domain Expansion, soul manipulation techniques, and prolonged wars can drain his energy. If forced to do so continuously, his powers can weaken.
