Nintendo Switch Emulator and Piracy Subreddit Closed

Piracy must be eradicated! Especially now that developers, publishers, distributors, and other vendors have tried their best to officially present their lineup to various parts of the world. And this also extends to the Nintendo Switch platform.

When viewed from the history of this industry, piracy has indeed become a very complicated issue in finding a solution.

It's no wonder that the owners of these game titles are trying to find the best way to eradicate this criminal trend.

Not only through policy and legal (legal) channels alone, the various technologies that are applied are also made in such a way as to make it difficult to hack and tamper with. The hope is that in this way the practice of piracy can be reduced, thankfully it will disappear.

This issue is also widely discussed in various internet forums today, one of which is on Reddit as the world's largest discussion and social platform.

So, for those who don't understand the latest developments there, this time VCGamers will invite you to discuss it further.

Of course, this is so you don't miss the latest news! Because it is certain that the website cannot be accessed because it is blocked by a positive internet portal. So, keep reading this article and don't go anywhere.

Attempts at piracy can be very costly. It's not only the creators of the game who feel the negative impact, but also gamers who become "connoisseurs of it".

At first glance, pirated games seem to be skewed towards gamers – making them able to play their dream games more easily. But in fact, the experience gained will not be optimal.

Pirated games will be very different from games that were officially purchased, both in terms of performance, features, and various other features.

Therefore, we suggest that you don't be tempted by pirated games! After all, there are many other games that you can easily play for free and are no less exciting. This also applies to platforms Nintendo Switches.

Even so, indeed their premium lineup (eg Legend of Zelda, Pokémon, Mario, etc.) are priced exorbitantly. This is what ultimately exploited by criminals to take advantage.

They try to present the platform and its games in the form of emulation. This means that the Nintendo Switch can be played program/application-based on different devices, such as PCs or smartphones. That's where the issue becomes something that finally props up.

So, now the discussion turns to a topic that is currently being widely discussed by the global gamer community, namely the disappearance of a subreddit on the topic of emulation and piracy of the Nintendo Switch platform.

As a disclaimer, this writer has never directly accessed the Reddit or Subreddit pages on this topic, due to the difficulty of accessing the blocking imposed by the government.

Reporting from the IGN.com page, the Subreddit page, which often discusses Nintendo Switch piracy, was officially closed by the website manager due to an increase in users accessing the page.

Reddit's official statement stated that the initial number of users participating on the page came to touch 37K, suddenly almost doubling to 70K.

It is alleged that this is a response to the release of the Zelda lineup: Tears of the Kingdom, which is loved by the gamer community.

So Reddit took precautions by closing their page as a form of support for Nintendo.

There is no definite news whether this is a request from Nintendo or an initiative from Reddit.

But what is certain, the subreddit that has been active for about three years is no longer accessible now.

We believe that this is indeed the right thing to do. That way, the "dark" streets that are usually used by irresponsible parties can be reduced and their movements restricted.
