Command itself is an advanced feature that is used by typing certain text in the chat window in the edition java and Bedrock. Cheats must be enabled, and a slash (/) is required as a prefix for commands to work in the game.

To remove water, you have to use the '/fill' command. '/fill' is the command that players use to replace blocks or fill an area with whatever blocks you want.

To release water, you need two sets of coordinates (X, Y, and Z). The first coordinate must be from one of the corners of the area from which the water needs to be removed. Then the Vicigers had to go to the corner diagonally opposite and record the coordinates.

Replace the Water Block in Bedrock

Once both have coordinates, bedrock edition players will have to type “/fill <first coordinate> water 0 water change” in the chat window. It will only replace the existing water block in the coordinates.

Replace Water in Java Edition

You have to type “/fill water for water." The only difference between the two is that you don't have to write 0 after airing the command.

The most common problem when constructing underwater buildings or structures with water as a part is when it goes where it is not wanted. You can follow some of the methods below to dry water.

Water will always start spreading in different directions from the water source block. These water source blocks can often be found very easily, and to stop the water from spreading, players can use a solid block to replace the water source by placing a block over it.

Placing it in a large amount of water will destroy the resource block, disabling the water to replenish it once the block is broken.

However, it takes a bit of time to pull it off, and Vicigers is sure to go through a few spades in the process. Not to mention, it can also be a bit tricky, depending on the size and depth of the water you're removing.

To do this try blocking off an area, preferably with Gravel or Sand as these fall to the bottom due to gravity.

Sponges are blocks that are generated only in sponge chambers in oceanic monuments. The sponge can absorb water within a seven block radius of itself and instantly become a wet sponge. Melting a wet sponge in a furnace will return it to a dry sponge.

In marine monuments, sponges can be found in sponge rooms which are usually empty of water and filled with wet sponges along the ceilings and walls. They can be mined with any tool, but an ordinary hoe will break them the fastest.

Now, wet sponges can no longer be used to collect water. Think of a wet sponge as a sponge at full capacity.

To get a dry sponge, you need to dry a wet sponge. To dry a wet sponge, you have to put it in a burner with a flammable material, just like you were trying to cook it.
