There is good news for gamers who are still in school. Especially, for those of you who live in Central Java and its surroundings.

Because, currently there is a program of 1,000 Esports scholarships "Garena Esports For All" from DMMX Gamindo Global through the ID Esports Academy with Garena Indonesia.

The esports scholarship from Garena and the ID Esports Academy is an initiative that was carried out for the first time in Indonesia. Karena also includes attention to students' academic grades so that the pattern of education obtained is balanced.

This 1,000 Esports scholarship program is given to support the growth of the Indonesian esports ecosystem.

Because synergy and guidance is needed, especially for all young people to understand the esports industry as a whole.

The scholarship program targets junior and senior high school students in Central Java Province and its surroundings.

It is hoped that this program can encourage the positive development of esports in Indonesia and can produce new high-achieving and quality athletes.

In line with Garena's vision and mission, this scholarship program will be given to students with academic grades that meet Garena's criteria.

Garena Indonesia's Country Head, Hans Saleh, said, Garena has consistently been committed to supporting the development of the esports industry in Indonesia through initiatives and collaboration of various parties.

"One of them is in terms of education, I hope that the presence of this esports scholarship program can raise the enthusiasm of students to continue to excel, both academic and non-academic. Garena will continue to strive to encourage the continuity and development of the esports industry in a positive direction so that it can produce potential esports talents," he said in a press release received by VC News, Thursday 21 April 2022.

he explained, The esports scholarship program is focused on the Free Fire Game, which is a game made by Garena and is open to all students who live in Central Java and its surroundings.

"Scholarships will be given to 250 selected schools and 1,000 students who have the opportunity to take part in a training program on esports at the ID Esports Academy," he said.

This scholarship program will open in April 2022. Then, the implementation will be held in June 2022.

Later, students who have the opportunity to win scholarships will receive training and take part in a tournament which will be held in December 2022.

Novus Founder and CEO, Adityo Rimbo hopes that this scholarship program can produce esports athletes who can compete.

“Seeing the very fast growth of esports and the high interest of young people, of course it must be accompanied by an understanding of games and the esports industry itself. "With the collaboration of the scholarship program with Garena Indonesia and the ID Esports Academy, it is hoped that we will be able to produce competitive esports athletes," he said.

Furthermore, the Founder and CEO of Esports Academy ID, Arza Satria Djatmika thanked him for the collaboration between him and Garena Indonesia and Novus in the first esports academy scholarship in Indonesia for all.

“This can be an opportunity and a place for esports enthusiasts in Indonesia to continue to grow and develop. Esports education through Free Fire game training accompanied by an understanding of ethics and a good attitude towards esports, of course, can create a good esports ecosystem," he said.
