FromSoftware's Armored Core franchise

You could say it's a game Armored Core itself is one of the developer's flagship games. Before FromSoftware finally released its own Soulsborne game, Armored Core was the title that made them survive.

Yep, there aren't many Mecha game franchises out there that can survive and have lots of sequels. As a result, there are not too many competitors in this game.

Even big names like franchises Gundams made by Bandai alone, until now it doesn't have a lineup that can be said to be superior. It's no wonder that this franchise has taken the Mecha market share.

Starting in 1997, Armored Core appeared as a third-person shooter (TPS) shooting game. This lineup was released as games for platforms PlayStation (PS) One.

This game applies the foundation and several features of the subsequent sequels. Some of them include changing robot parts (upgrading Armored Core), the existence of various types of weapons, and so on.

Next up is the sequel Armored Core which is labeled '2'. Released in 2000 for the PlayStation 2 platform, it is the fourth installment in the franchise.

Yep, before this sequel was released, there were 2 spin-off versions that were first released, namely Project Phantasma and Master of Arena. Aside from the graphic improvements, Armored Core 2 isn't too different from the first main entry.

Before entering this main entry, FromSoftware itself previously released an advanced edition of Armored Core 2 entitled 'Another Age'. So if you count it as a whole, this sequel, which was released in 2002, is counted as the 6th installation.

In this edition, the display used is much more complex and slick. Not only can all parts of the Armored Core be customized as detailed as possible, but local multiplayer also supports games for up to 4 players.

Continuing with the 4th main entry, this sequel was released on the seventh generation console platform (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360) in 2006. Yep, this is the first time Armored Core has come out of its "comfort zone" as a Sony exclusive title.

Well, the newest one is Armored Core 6. This is the version with the widest platform coverage, where PC (Windows) also gets involved!

As a triple-A game designed in a modern way, Armored Core 6 is equipped with various new features. Some of them include 1v1 and 3v3 multiplayer, 4K graphics, and a wider universe.
