Bigetron by Vitality Successfully Crowned MPL Indonesia Season 17 Champion

INDONESIA, JAKARTA, June 15, 2026– Bigetron by Vitality (BTR) was crowned the champion of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Indonesia Season 17 after surprising the world and defeating ONIC ID with a score of 4-1 in the Grand Final.

This victory capped a defining season for MPL Indonesia, which strengthens the league's position not only as a competition esports in Indonesia, but also as a platform where sports, youth culture, creative economy, and national pride come together.

With the season over, Indonesia is now turning its attention to the international stage. BTR and ONIC will represent Indonesia in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid Season Cup (MSC), while Team Vitality will carry Indonesia's hopes at the MLBB Women's International (MWI).

Together, these three teams will continue Indonesia's efforts to achieve global success in MLBB esports for both men and women.

MSC remains the pinnacle global mid-season Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) competition, bringing together the world's strongest teams for a total prize pool of US$3 million.

For BTR and ONIC, this qualification is more than just a reward for their domestic campaigns. It's the next test of Indonesia's ambition to reclaim its place among the global MLBB region.

The MWI campaign holds significant significance. As one of the world's leading women's mobile esports tournaments, MWI provides a platform for Team Vitality to further strengthen Indonesia's presence in the women's MLBB esports scene.

Their participation reflects the depth of talent the country possesses and the increasing opportunities for female athletes to compete, win, and represent Indonesia on the global stage.

Indonesia's international efforts will also extend to the Asian Games. Together with PBESI and Indonesian badminton legend Liliyana Natsir, Syauki "“Nino” Sumarno, and Kenny “Xepher” Deo from the Indonesian MLBB national team shared their excitement and determination to represent the country on one of Asia’s biggest sporting stages.

“I want to make my country proud in my own way, and that's by playing Mobile Legends,” said Nino, who represents the Indonesian MLBB national team.

Liliyana, a 2016 Olympic gold medalist, also revealed that the mindset of esports athletes is no different from that of conventional athletes. Both on the field and in the game, the goal remains the same: to raise Indonesia's profile. This season may be over, but Indonesia's quest for international glory has only just begun.

MPL ID Season 17 Playoffs Bring Youth Culture, Fashion, and Identity to the Stage

For the first time, MPL Indonesia introduces Tunnel Walk inspired by the arrival culture of global sports athletes.

Players, KOLs, and restreamers ditched their team uniforms to express their personal style through streetwear and fashion, turning the arrival moment in the playoffs into a visual fusion of gaming, lifestyle, and youth culture.

The Tunnel Walk event also marked the premiere of the “Originals” concept, a new MLBB Esports IP initiative designed to bridge the world of competitive esports with fashion culture.

Featuring players such as ONIC’s Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol, Manuel “Nnael”Simbolon from Bigetron, and Hengky “Kyy” Gunawan from EVOS, this initiative positions MLBB athletes not only as competitors, but also as cultural figures who influence the way future generations watch, dress, and engage with esports.

Creative Economy Collaboration

This Grand Final also marks the next step in MPL Indonesia's collaboration with Tale X, supported by the Ministry of Creative Economy (Ekraf), which positions the league as a "Creative Playground" for Indonesian intellectual property and creative talent.

As part of this collaboration, Irene Umar, Deputy Minister of Creative Economy of Indonesia, officially introduced Suga, the first mascot of MPL ID.

Its presence marks Ekraf's continued support in leveraging esports as a platform to elevate Indonesian creativity, connect local intellectual property with a wider audience, and bring cultural narratives into one of the country's most-watched entertainment ecosystems.

Rooted in Indonesian identity, Suga represents MPL ID as a league shaped by local culture, community pride, and creative expression. This mascot marks a new step in how MPL Indonesia connects esports with storytelling, character development, and the broader creative economy.

Through this initiative, MPL Indonesia continues to serve as a platform for local creators and intellectual property rights (IPR) holders to reach a wider audience.

By bringing Indonesian creative works into one of the country's most-watched esports ecosystems, this collaboration supports a broader national ambition to strengthen Indonesia's creative identity and introduce it to a wider audience.

Bigetron by Vitality Records Long-Awaited Breakthrough

After years of up-and-down results, roster changes, and repeated playoff failures, Red Robot has finally broken the stigma that has been attached to them for several seasons.

The BTR campaign is built on the spirit of “Trust the Process”, a belief shaped by patience, continuity, and faith in the foundation the team has built over the years.

As one of the few organizations that has competed in MPL Indonesia since its inaugural season, Bigetron entered the Grand Finals with more than just the ambition to win the title. They carried the burden of a long-awaited breakthrough.

Against ONIC ID, they left no doubt. Bigetron secured a resounding 4-1 victory over one of the league's most accomplished teams, capping off the season with a bang and claiming their first MPL Indonesia title in Season 17.

With this victory, they also became the first team to be crowned with the prestigious title “KINGFINIX”, which was introduced this season by Infinix as the Organizing Partner of MPL Indonesia.

Mid laner Marcel “Moreno” Sinulingga was named the Best Player of the Final, confirming his brilliant performance on the Grand Final stage.

Skylar and Kelra from ONIC Appointed as Season 41 Ambassadors

MPL Indonesia also introduced Schevenko “Skylar” Tendean and Grant Duane “Kelra” Pillas from ONIC as the official ambassador of MLBB Season 41.

Each MLBB season, two ambassadors are selected to accompany players throughout the season. One acts as a community representative, guiding players through new content and updates, while the other represents the highest level of competitive play and helps bridge the gap between professional and everyday play.

Skylar and Kelra take over from Kairi and JessNoLimit, becoming the latest faces of MLBB's ongoing efforts to connect professional esports with the wider community.

The conclusion of MPL Indonesia Season 17 took place in the 10th anniversary year of MLBB, a milestone that reflects the game's evolution from a mobile title to one of the most influential esports ecosystems in the world.

In Indonesia, this growth is shaped by players, teams, creators, restreamers, fans, partners, and the local creative community. Season 17 demonstrates how MPL ID continues to evolve beyond competition, becoming a platform for national pride, youth culture, fashion, entertainment, and creative storytelling.
