What Is Pokemon Go?

7. Fairy-type immunity to Dragon-type

Total type immunity is converted to in-game type resistance. Currently, it has devolved further into another type of resistance in which the Pokemon hit becomes invulnerable and only takes 0.39 times the amount of damage it normally takes. This type of immunity has only been shown to sustain one-third of the total damage received.

Below is a full explanation of the super effective, not very effective, invulnerable and double effective pokemon GO chart type attack statuses;

• Not very effective – 0.625x the damage dealt, whereas it deals 0.5x the damage in the main series.
• Very effective – 1.6x the damage dealt, whereas it deals 2x the damage in the main series.
• Immunity – 0.39x the damage dealt, whereas it deals 0 damage in the main series.
• Effective double – 2.56x the damage dealt, whereas it deals 4x the damage in the main series.

The type effectiveness tweaks made by the developers have brought Pokemon GO closer to the main metagame. Things may not be super identical, but they are very close.
