6 Teams that Qualify for the Playoff Round of MPL ID Season 9

Regular season Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Indonesia Season 9 (MPL ID Season 9) has ended, and the playoffs will begin in a few weeks. Here are some of the teams that made it through.

Out of eight teams, six will advance to the MPL ID Season 9 playoffs. MPL ID powerhouse RRQ finished at the top of the standings, only three points ahead of reigning champions ONIC Esports. They will be joined by Aura Fire, EVOS Legends, Alter Ego, and Bigetron Alpha.

The MPL ID Season 9 Tournament will be held at the MPL Arena. The Playoffs will take place from April 21 to April 24, 2022, and will feature a live crowd at the venue.

All matches will be played in a best-of-five format, except for the grand final which will use a best-of-seven. RRQ Hoshi and ONIC Esports will receive a bye, while Aura Fire, EVOS Legends, Alter Ego, and Bigetron Alpha will compete in an elimination match in the first round.

The winner will receive a bulk of US$300,000 in prizes and a slot in the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup 2022 (MSC 2022).

RRQ Hoshi has officially qualified for MPL ID Season 9 a few days ago. In the roster announcement, RRQ Hoshi made a surprise by introducing three new names. These players are Violence, Yummy, and Aether, all of whom are promotions from RRQ Sena.

This will also be the biggest roster ever brought by RRQ Hoshi for MPL ID, with 10 players in it. Even more interesting, Lemon was also added to the roster, meaning that he will be making his return after a season-long absence.

Also, in the upcoming MPL ID season 9 playoffs, we will no longer see Vynnn as the in-game leader (IGL), as R7 will be taking over the role. This change can also be seen in the video uploaded by RRQ on YouTube.

ONIC Esports won MPL ID Season 8 recently. Even though the Yellow Hedgehog had to rise from the lower bracket, the team managed to prove their worth against RRQ Hoshi in the Grand Finals, securing the title after winning 4-3 on a hard day.

ONIC Esports was founded on July 26 2018, and started its journey in the professional Mobile Legends arena by participating in MPL Indonesia Season 2. According to MPL Indonesia, ONIC Esports was founded with the ambition of becoming the best esports organization in the Southeast. Asia.

The original Mobile Legends ONIC Esports roster consisted of Eiduart, Spade, Watt, Drian, and Fenrir. The team managed to finish third in its inaugural season.

In Season 3, ONIC Esports made history by finishing the tournament unbeaten. The ONIC Esports roster for the Season consisted of Udil, Drian, Psychoo, Sasa, and Antimage, all nicknamed the “Five Kage”.

The team bearing the white tiger logo also interrupted a series of three defeats when they clashed with Bigetron Alpha in the regular season and playoffs.

Thanks to this season's victory, EVOS Legends now has two titles in MPL season 7. Not only that, EVOS Legends also has the right to represent Indonesia in the Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup as the MSC 2021 event.

Alter Ego is now one of the strongest teams in Mobile Legends thanks to the MPL Invitational 2020 title they just received. Alter Ego's changes have occurred since the 6th season of MPL, where they entered the final round and faced the defending title RRQ Hoshi.

Even though he only came in second place, Alter Ega's performance in MPL Season 6 was extraordinary compared to MPL Season 5.

Bigetron Alpha has major changes in terms of inventory. The reason is, the team had to lose two of its main players, namely Dreams who joined in EVOS Legends and Branz whose fate is still undetermined.

Old names registered on Bigetron Alpha are revealed from the list. One of the new names that appeared in MPL ID Season 9 is Xorizo.

Just like last season, Bigetron Alpha lost to Kyy, Renbo, Rippo, Matt, Bottle and Maxx. On the other hand, the team brought in a new player, Xorizo, to complete the MPL ID Season 9 roster.
