At the 2023 PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) event in Istanbul, Turkey last December, James Yang as Senior Director of PUBG Mobile Esports announced several major changes in PUBG Mobile Esports competitions throughout the world, including Indonesia.

One of the main changes announced was the elimination of the PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) which has been in the spotlight in the world of Esports. Not only in Indonesia, but all regions that implement the PMPL system have also experienced similar changes. However, PUBG Mobile Esports offers an interesting alternative solution.

As a replacement for PMPL, PUBG Mobile Esports Indonesia will hold a regional competition called PUBG Mobile Super League (PMSL). PMSL will be held three times during 2024. The best PUBG Mobile teams from each region that partners with PUBG Mobile will compete in PMSL.

However, the fate of tier 2 teams or non-partnership teams has also been considered. For them, PUBG Mobile Esports Indonesia has introduced the PUBG Mobile National Championship (PMNC) which will be held at the end of the year. PMNC will be an opportunity for community or tier 2 teams to compete and show their abilities.

New Scheme: PUBG Mobile Conqueror Series (PMCS)

The PUBGM Esports Indonesia 2024 roadmap also brings the introduction of an interesting new tournament scheme, namely the PUBG Mobile Conqueror Series (PMCS). PMCS is aimed at developing amateur players into professionals.

In PMCS, all categories of players will compete. Starting from Tier 2 teams, PMNC ID teams, Ladies teams (PMVB), Champion teams (Community), to teams from the Open Qualifier. All teams will compete in an open competition which will be held in three phases or stages, namely PMCS Spring, PMCS Summer, and PMCS Fall.

At each stage of PMCS, the 16 best teams will compete for three days per week. The best winners from the PMCS Best Team will get tickets to participate in PMNC and have a great opportunity to compete in PMSL in the 2025 competition season.
