Pros of Playing Metal Gear Rising

The Metal Gear franchise has been hugely influential in the gaming industry, and spawned a much different Stealth genre. The initial gameplay feels a little lacking, especially in PSP.

As one of the games made by the developer Konami, this game actually has its own uniqueness and advantages compared to other games.

Unique Gameplay

MGRR is known for its gameplay hack and slash. Players control the protagonist Raiden, a sword-wielding cyborg ninja who can accurately slice and dice objects in the environment into ribbons.

The combat is flashy, but mechanics perry and a variety of weapons that aid in different playstyles giving a semblance of depth to the bloody action.

There's not much that's more satisfying than slicing a bad guy's body in half cleanly, and it continues to entertain all the way to the end of the game.

As a Metal Gear game, and canon, it takes place late in the chronology, specifically four years after the PS3 exclusive Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

With the Patriots no longer active, Raiden's narrative takes a more personal turn as he must defeat a militant group called Desperado. It also has some cool stuff about this game franchise.

Interesting Character

The Metal Gear series is known for its richly written characters. While MGRR doesn't rise to that level, it manages to introduce a cast of likeable characters, including villains.

From the maniacal Sundowner and mischievous Jetstream Sam to minor characters like the kidnapped George, most characters have an affinity for them.

Raiden's interactions with each of these NPCs also liven up the playing experience which is quite exciting.

Fun Soundtrack

After the gameplay, this is the next reason someone should play and experience the MGRR game. Cool vocal backed songs. So that when playing, you will feel a different sensation.

Many of these tracks are also featured during boss fights. These 1v1 encounters against threatening enemies test players' fighting and parrying skills, which are further enhanced by an insanely cool soundtrack.

Platinum Games is at the forefront of the current scene when it comes to Japanese character action games. MGRR is one of their more popular entries and came about as a collaboration between them and franchise owner Konami.

The game was originally meant to be self-developed but ended up being outsourced under Platinum and that was a great decision too, considering they are the masters of the genre.
