Celestia is a mysterious place that has become a legend for all the people of Teyvat, a fictitious country where the game Genshin Impact takes place as a background.

If you wander around the Teyvat region, you can see that there is a mysterious island floating in the sky wherever you go throughout Teyvat be it Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, or Sumeru.

There is also much speculation that Celestia will consist of large pillars similar to the front page when you enter the game.

Celestia is said to be the abode of the Gods (or in some quests it is called the Heavenly Principles) in Teyvat and not all living things including humans and even Archons can go there.

One of the characters that has been confirmed to have access to Celestia is Vanessa.

On Genshin Impact comics in the chapter "Prologue: Song of the Wind" on page 71 shows that Vanessa is a human who was appointed to Celestia and watches over Mondstadt in the form of an Eagle.

Aside from Vanessa, there was also much speculation that the leader of the Guhua Clan, Guhua, had also been elevated to Celestia and become a purple star in the sky.

This speculation is also proven by the existence of a mural on Tsurumi Island in the cave beneath Shirikoro Peak, which depicts Celestia and stars.

What was certain was that even if those living beings had been promoted to Celestia, they would not necessarily be equal to the Heavenly Principles.

This theory is taken from one of Dainsleif's conversations regarding Vanessa to Celestia which says that, "That (Vanessa's appointment to Celestia) ultimately does nothing but float under the light of the gods".

It's unclear what kind of place Celestia is and whether players will be able to head there any time soon.

However, it looks like Celestia will play an important role in the core story problems presented by Genshin Impact.

Location of Celestia Genshin Impact

Celestia is seen above the sky of Teyvat at a position where the coordinates are not known.

Most of the area in Teyvat can see Celestia directly although for now it is still a 3D island.

What is known for certain is that Celestia's position is very high in the sky, surpassing the high places in Genshin Impact.

Liyue's highest place is Qingyun Peak, you can see Celestia's position is still higher to the northwest of Qingyun Peak.

Celestia is also noticeably higher northeast of Khaj Nisut and west of Stormterror's Lair.

There has been much speculation that Mondstadt will be the gateway to Celestia. This is because under the statue of Barbatos, you can read reverse writing that says Gateway to Celestia or the gate to Celestia.

Celestia's relationship with Teyvat

As the abode of the Heavenly Principles, Celestia also plays a large role in the laws governing Teyvat.

Long ago, humans were able to communicate with Celestia directly through emissaries called Heavenly messengers.

You can see from the mural that has Sal Vindagnyr, Dragonspine. Sal Vindagnyr as one of the old civilizations in Mondstadt was finally punished for reasons that are not clear by Celestia by dropping a pillar or nail called Skyfrost Nail.

If you pay attention, the Skyfrost Nail is similar to the pillar on the front page of the game when you first log in to the Genshin Impact game.

Another spike similar to the one in Dragonspine will also be found in the deepest part of The Chasm. Based on the actions in Sal Vindagnyr, any civilization that resided in The Chasm was also likely destroyed by Celestia.

Celestia's relationship with the Archon

The gnosis possessed by the Archons is known to resonate with and connect with Celestia and the Heavenly Principles.

Archons also have Gnosis as a sign that they have been chosen by Celestia to preserve human life.

However, the communication between the Archons and Celestia could be said to be strained. This can be seen from conversations with various Archons regarding their respective Gnosis.

Dendro Archon, Nahida, said that Celestia had never contacted again since the cataclysm that occurred 500 years which resulted in Khaen'riah being destroyed.

Nahida also chooses to trade Gnosis to Dottore for information regarding Teyvat, indicating that Nahida is more concerned with knowledge than loyalty to Celestia.

Ei also passed on his Gnosis to Yae Miko, indicating to cut ties with Celestia since Raiden Makoto (Ei's twin brother or previous Electro Archon) died during the Cataclysm.

Venti on several occasions chose to divert the conversation regarding Celestia.

Meanwhile, Zhongli said that the erosion he was feeling was coercion from the Heavenly Principles and chose to give Gnosis to the Empress.

Thus the explanation about Celestia Genshin Impact. There are still many mysteries that have not been explained regarding this place and it seems that it will continue to be told along with updates from the Genshin Impact game.

At the time of writing this article, Genshin Impact was releasing characters Mica in the second update 3.5. You can get it in the Kamisato Ayaka and Shenhe reunion banners.
