Pikachu has two abilities that need to be learned before jumping into Pokemon Unite.

Static – First, Pikachu's Passive ability is Static. When Pikachu takes damage, Static causes all nearby enemies to get a slow debuff for a while before going on cooldown.

Because of this effect, Pikachu excels at chasing opponents stupid enough to poke a Pokemon. It also makes it easier to run away from those trying to finish you off, especially when on your side of the arena.

Basic Attack – Pikachu's Basic Attack is also a powerful tool, which becomes an attack that improves with every third hit. Enhanced basic attacks deal increased damage, and paralyze (slow) opposing Pokemon for a short period of time when hit.

Volt Tackle – 10 second cooldown – Makes an electric jump forward, displacing the opponent.

Upgrades: Reduced cooldown.

Thunderbolt – 8 second cooldown – Summons a powerful burst of lightning that stuns enemies in an area.

Upgrades: Damage increase.

Level 6 decisions are not as clear cut as the previous two choices. But with Thunderbolt giving him another Stun to work with and being one of Pokemon's strongest moves, we recommend giving it a try.
