M4 World Championship Knockout Stage Complete Schedule

Knockout Stage M4 World Championship

The M4 World Championship Group Stage phase has ended and the participating teams already have their respective placements in the next phase, namely the Knockout Stage / Playoffs.

The Knockout Stage phase will be present from 7 to 15 January 2023 and has a Double Elimination format with an Upper and Lower Bracket.

When a team in the Upper Bracket loses, they will fall into the Lower Bracket. However, the team that loses in the Lower Bracket will fall or be eliminated from the tournament.

There are 16 teams playing in that bracket, divided into two, namely 8 teams in the Upper Bracket and 8 teams in the Lower Bracket.

For the match series format, the first two rounds in the Lower Bracket are Bo3 or Best of 3. In addition, all matches are Bo5 series and the Grand Final is Bo7.

The Knockout Stage will be held directly or LAN at Tennis Indoor Senayan. All teams will compete for a total prize pool of up to $800,000 USD or around Rp. 12 billion.

The winner of the M4 World Championship will be determined on January 15, 2023 through the Bo7 Grand Final match.

The table above is the complete schedule for the Knockout Stage from January 7 to 9 2023. This phase will open with a match between Falcon Esports and ONIC Esports in the Upper Brackets.

The following day was also opened with the Indo Pride team match namely RRQ Hoshi vs NOT in the Upper Bracket at the same time. After that, there will be RRQ Akira from Brazil against Blacklist Intl from the Philippines in the Upper Bracket.

Finally, there will be four games taking place on January 9th. All of these matches are Lower Bracket matches, so the team that loses in the series must be eliminated.
