Guide to Defeat Radagon Elden Ring, Final Boss!

If you want to finish the game Elden Rings, Radagon is the last boss that you must fight.

Radagon or Radagon of the Golden Order is the second spouse of Queen Marika, after Godfrey exiled from The Land Between.

This God who earned the title of the second Elden Lord was notoriously hard to beat. Apart from that, you also have to fight the second phase of the fight, which is against the Elden Beast.

Who is Radragon?

Radagon is the second Elden Lord who, along with Queen Marika the Eternal, rules the Golden Order in The Land Between, the setting in the world of Elden Ring.

Before marrying Queen Marika, Radagon was one of the heroes who played a big part in the Liurnian war and met Queen Rennala.

After two wars, Radagon finally gave up on the war, fell in love, and married Queen Rennala. 

Together with Queen Rennala, Radagon has 3 children namely: Radahn, Rykard, and Ranni.

Radagon went to the Royal Capital after Greater Will stripped Godfrey of his grace which made him the first Tarnished, marry Queen Marika and become the second Elden Lord.

Queen Marika then increased the status of the position Radahn, Rykard, and Ranni became Demigods. In addition, the marriage between the two also gave birth to Miquella and Malenia.

After the incident where Godwyn the Golden (Marika and Godfrey's son) was killed, the Shattering event occurred.

The Shattering occurs when a frustrated Queen Marika hits the Elden Ring with a hammer, which divides the Elden Ring and causes a war between Demigods to become the next Elden Lord.

Although Radagon attempts to repair the broken pieces of the Elden Ring, he ends up having to suffer the consequences of being held under Erdtree with Marika.

If you have completed Brother Corhyn and Goldmask's, it will reveal the secret that Radagon is Queen Marika herself.

Both share the same body. However, both of them have different souls and minds making them two different entities in the same body.

Having two souls for Empyreans like Queen Marika was only natural. 

However, it is unknown why Queen Marika and Radagon became separate entities and reunited after Godfrey's expulsion from The Lands Between.

This may be discussed in the Elden Ring DLC which is reportedly in the process of production.

Tips for Beating Radagon Elden Ring

Radagon is an optional boss that you fight, but a mandatory boss if you want to get the ending of the Elden Ring game.

You will fight Elden Beast directly after fighting Radagon, so you need to really prepare yourself before fighting this boss.

Radagon's domain location was in Erdtree, which was located in Leyndell, Ashen Capital. If you lose the phase against Elden Beast, you must fight Radagon again.

In total, Radagon will have 3 phases of attack which are affected by the decrease in the HP of this boss.

Prep Against Radagon

We highly recommend using attacks or weapons that deal Physical and Fire damage because Radagon is weak with attacks from fire.

Holy damage should not be used because this boss will attack with that type and the absorption value of this damage is high (the higher the absorption value, the weaker the attack). 

It would be very good if you use a Talisman that increases your resistance to Holy damage.

Incantation which can give Frostbite, Poison, or Scarlet Rot status effects which can give DoT (Damage over Time) is very good for you to use.

Apart from that, you will also need various items that can increase Stamina, HP, and ATK.

This is because you have to attack Radagon as quickly as possible before entering the phase against the Elden Beast.

First Phase

Like the other types of Dark Souls boss mechanics in general, Radagon has fast attacks and has a lot of momentum.

This of course will be difficult to read and dodge will also be difficult. Each swing of Radagon's hammer also deals great damage and some have AoE.

You can use Shadow or Mimic Ash to distract the boss's focus. So, you can use Incantation like Rotten Breath and apply it 2-3 times until the DoT works.

Second Phase

When Radagon's HP is below 75%, Radagon will jump into the air and smash his hammer into the ground giving a Gold Breaker attack.

This attack deals enormous AoE damage and can kill your character in one hit. You have to point the camera up to see where Radagon will land.

In this phase, Radagon will teleport a lot and provide large AoE attacks and explosions

The Gold Spear used in the first phase will also increase the damage dealt accompanied by stomping feet that can give a Shockwave.

You can attack at close range with Melee attacks. Avoid attacks by rolling.

Attacks in this phase have pauses that you can use to attack. Use Charged Attack to reduce Stance and attack between attacks between each other.

Third Phase

This last phase is similar to the second phase. However, there will be additional attacks once the boss's HP drops below 50%.

The attack from Radagon that you must avoid is when this boss teleports to the middle of the arena. 

Radagon will quickly hit the hammer 3 times on the ground which will give a very large Shockwave. This attack will be difficult to avoid and will provide continuous damage so as much as possible you should be from Radagon.

Teleportation will become more frequent and there will be a 2 hammer strike attack that gives a Shockwave.

The stamina regulation here must really be regulated because you will do a lot of dodging and dodging.
