Persona 3 Release Date Leaks For Early 2023

Atlus makes a big announcement, with Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden which will release to modern consoles in early 2023.

It's also worth noting that the announcement also lists Game Pass, in addition to the other platforms that will be arriving. Here's what's available now for the upcoming Atlus game.

Previously known that Atlus and SEGA will be bringing classic titles to modern consoles, as announced earlier this summer. However, all that was known at the time was the release date for the P5 Royal.

Thanks to a surprise tweet by Atlus West, it has now been confirmed that the portable release of Persona 3 and 4 will arrive on multiple platforms in January 2023. As per Atlus, the confirmed date is January 19, 2023.

P3P is a remake of the PlayStation 2 version, with the biggest change being that players are allowed to choose the gender of the protagonist. This opens up new routes and scenarios for the story as well. The PSP version does not contain the Japanese exclusive “Episode Aegis”.

At the time of writing, it was unknown if it would be part of this release, or if it would serve as a faithful port of the PSP/Vita game release.

P4G was already available on PC, but is now on its way to more modern consoles. In general, navigation is easier in P3P, and the combat system is similar to Persona 4.

Players can participate in part time jobs as well in the PSP version of the game. However, it lacks the anime cutscenes from the original game. It's unclear whether this will be added in the upcoming January release.

Interestingly, several changes came with Persona 4 Golden. New Bad Ending added by learning the killer's identity, but not telling friends.

In addition, two events were added: Halloween and Ski Trip. Meet the requirements for the Good Ending, time for social links and events will be extended.

Epilogue can also be unlocked by clearing the Hollow Forest dungeon. New Social Links were also added, Marie and Tohru Adachi, as well as other gameplay adjustments.

Both games are coming on January 19, 2023 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Additionally, both games will release on day one on Xbox Game Pass.

ATLUS fans on PC finally have an answer to their Persona prayers. Three new entries in the SEGA-exclusive Megami Tensei spin-off RPG series have finally come to the PC platform. For something that has been considered a pipe dream for those who don't own a PlayStation console.

Announced at the recent Xbox Bethesda Games Showcase 2022, there will be three ports: Persona 3 Portable (P3P), Persona 4 Golden (P4G), and Persona 5 Royal (P5R). The latter, in particular, has been much requested by fans for a port on PC and Nintendo Switch.

The newest of the three is the P5R. First released for the PlayStation 4 in 2019, it is an enhanced version of the 2017 original. Players play as the Joker, a high school student who is assigned to the Phantom Thuieves guard group.

Tasked with eradicating evil, the team infiltrates the Palace, which is a dungeon created from a person's subconscious to steal their heart. P4G was first released for the PlayStation Vita in 2012, as a remaster of the acclaimed 2008 PS2.

Arriving in the ancient city of Inabab, protagonist Yu Narukami is thrust into a mysterious murder that seems to be related to the midnight TV channel.

With an impressive cast of characters behind him, the culprit must be brought to justice by investigating the TV world and its dungeons.

The P5R will arrive on October 21, 2022. Meanwhile, P3P and P4G target a 2023 release. They will also be available on the Xbox Game Pass subscription service.

thing iIt also marks the first time that a mainstream Persona game will arrive on the Xbox platform. PC, on the other hand, did receive a Steam P4G port in 2020.
