Get to know AI Voice Recognition and Its Uses

Machine Learning vs AI vs Deep Learning

Along with the development of increasingly advanced technology, many emerging technologies that are very visionary and make human work easier. One technology that is currently developing and making it easier for humans is AI Voice Recognition.

In everyday life, we can easily find Voice Recognition, even if you are currently holding the device.

Yep, it's true that Voice Recognition is on the cellphone that you have. AI depends on the type of OS you are using, if you are using Android then you can use Google, and iOS can use Siri.

So, for those of you who are still unfamiliar with AI Voice Recognition, let's look at the discussion below!

Voice Recognition is the ability of a machine or program to receive, interpret, understand and carry out commands spoken by humans.

Voice Recognition is growing and becoming popular since the emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and is used in Intelligence Assistants, such as Alexa from Amazon and Siri from Apple.

Voice Recognition can identify and differentiate types of voices using a software program called Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR). Because ASR requires its users to first train the software to recognize their voice.

Voice Recognition Software on computers requires analog audio to be converted to digital signals, which is known as analog-to-digital (A/D) conversion.

In order for a computer to decipher a signal, it must have a database of digital syllables and a fast process for comparing this data to the signal. The speech patterns are stored on the hard drive and loaded into memory when the program starts.

In practice, the size of the Voice Recognition program's effective vocabulary is directly related to the RAM capacity of the computer on which it is installed.

The Voice Recognition System analyzes speech through one of two models, namely the Hidden Markov model and a neural network.

The Hidden Markov model breaks spoken words down into their phonemes. Whereas a recurrent neural network uses the output from the previous step to influence the input to the current step.

With this way of working, Voice Recognition is now starting to enter more mobile devices, such as Google Home and Amazon Echo.

The use of Voice Recognition has grown rapidly as AI, Machine Learning and consumer acceptance have matured. Examples of the use of Voice Recognition are as follows:

Virtual Assistant

Virtual assistants such as Siri, Alexa, and Google all implement Voice Recognition Software to interact with their users.

They can use it to transcribe speech into text, set reminders, search the Internet, and respond to simple questions and requests, such as playing music or sharing weather or traffic information.

Smart Devices

Users can control their smart home including smart thermostats and smart speakers using Voice Recognition software.

bluetooth

Bluetooth systems in modern cars support Voice Recognition to help drivers keep their eyes on the road. Drivers can use Voice Recognition to carry out commands such as "call my office".
