HoyoVerse Replaces miHoYo Genshin Impact

Game developers Genshin Impact i.e. miHoYo recently changed the company name (rebranding) Becomes HoYoVerse.

miHoYo Co., Ltd. or miHoYo is development video games from China based in Shanghai in 2012.

The company is globally renowned for developing games RPGs open world famous Genshin Impact and also games RPG Honkai Impact 3rd.

miHoYo also features otome game which is quite popular globally, namely Tears of Themis in 2021 and is planning a release turn-based games new Honkai Star Rail.

Starting on February 14, 2022, everyone games miHoYo has changed to HoYoVerse. This also applies to all gaming website domains, like Genshin Impact, which was originally mihoyo.com changed to hoyoverse.com

On page website An official from HoyoVerse said, “HoYoVerse is committed to creating immersive virtual world experiences for players around the world.”

HoYoverse appears to be focused on continuing miHoYo's current global operations, and expanding its content production and technology research through offices around the world, including Canada, US, Singapore, Japan, and South Korea.

Apart from game products such as Genshin Impact, Honkai Impact 3rd, Tears of Themis, and Honkai: Star Rail, HoYoverse also launched virtual characters Lumi, dynamic desktop software N0va Desktop, a product of the HoYoLAB community, and creates products such as animation, comics, music, novels, and merchandise around its products.

Reasons for Changing the Name to HoYoVerse

Rebranding or changing the company name to HoYoVerse is not clear why. There has been no official statement regarding the reason behind the company name change but as it appears, the company's focus will be related to miHoYo's expansion globally and beyond China.
