Godskin Apostle profile

The Godskin Apostle is one of the "Field Boss" category enemies in the Elden Ring. This agile and powerful humanoid enemy clads himself in the skin of a god and wields weapons in the form of twin swords and black fire spells.

The Godskin Apostle will also appear in the Godskin Duo and Spirit-Caller Snail fights alongside the Godskin Noble as a summoned spirit.

If you want to meet character you can look for it in two places, namely Dominula, Windmill Village and Divini Tower of Caelid.

Tips for Facing the Godskin Apostle

For those of you who are still having trouble fighting the Godskin Apostle, try the tips below!

1. Use sleep pots by summoning a powerful spirit like Lhutel the Headless+4. This is to lure Apostle to give time for the pot to land;
2. If Apostle hits the pot directly, he will be trapped in a plume of smoke and 1 pot will be enough to put him to sleep. But if Apostle makes it out, the second pot will put him to sleep;
3. Use the bleed weapon with the BloodFlame Enchantment then give 3x combo attacks while Apostle is asleep. This will give greater damage/bleed than doing a critical hit;
4. Keep yourself within a medium distance of the Apostle;
5. Use Glintblade Phalanx, Glintstone Stars, and other multi-hit spells that will deal magic damage and break the Apostle's quiet magic effect.

How to Beat the Godskin Apostle

How to defeat the Godskin Apostle? To beat him, you'll need a different strategy, depending on your type of fighting style.

Melee Attack User

When fighting the Godskin Apostle, you should keep yourself within medium distance from him. This is intended to avoid various long-range attacks later.

When the Apostle makes an attack Stab & Slash, he needed time to recuperate after the second attack. You can launch an attack or two on him.

You can also deal at least 2 attacks when Apostle performs Jumping Overhead Slash, this is because he needs a longer recovery time than other attacks.

Both attacks are relatively easy to dodge. There are two types of attacks that you should pay attention to when fighting Apostle, namely Black Flame and Stab & Pull.

Black Flame has a fairly fast movement, so you must immediately dodge as soon as you see Apostle starting to cast his spell while Stab & Pull will deal massive damage 2 times.

He can also use spinning Weapons, where he flung his upper body while rotating the weapon.

To avoid it, you can advance towards the lower body or behind the Apostle's body.

When his HP is below 60%, he will float in the air and throw himself down, creating an earthquake around him. Immediately stepped away at the sight of him hovering in the air. While doing this, Apostle will enter his second phase.

In this second phase, he can remove the top skin and rotate it to increase the range of attacks as well as unlock new abilities.

When Apostle does this, the lower body to the feet will remain in their original place. You can unleash a few attacks on him after dodging his weapons.

He will also use frequently Plunging Blades and a slashing movement where Apostle will extend his body then dive down while giving a big sword slash.

Both of these attacks are very easy to read and avoid. For a few seconds after executing the slash, you have a chance to attack the Apostle.

Lastly, don't stand too close to the vortex that appears when Apostle performs an attack Black Flame Whirlwind.

Get as far away from the Apostle as possible because Black Flame Whirlwind's attacks can travel a great distance.

Magical and Ranged Attack users

For players who are used to using ranged attacks, the strategy that will be used is mostly the same. In fact, they probably had the advantage since Apostle mostly did mid-range attacks.

Besides that, Godskin Apostle looks weaker against magic damage which makes it easier for you to give critical attacks to him.
