When Tengen was captured by Kenjaku, that was the last time we saw him in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga. 

In the final panel of chapter 208, we see Tengen curled up like a baby in the womb. 

Now, his whereabouts and status are unknown, but JJK mangaka Gege Akutami has revealed Kenjaku's plans for Tengen.

Kenjaku plans to achieve evolution by combining the supreme wizard with all of humanity. 

And because the evolutionary process has turned Master Tengen into a cursed spirit, Kenjaku can use his techniques to assimilate Tengen and evolve himself.
