The axolotl is an amphibian that exists in the real world, but Minecraft has given this creature a new form of life. In this world Minecraft, axolotls live in water and can be found in lakes, rivers and seas.

They have a unique appearance, with a slender body, large caudal fin, and colorful skin. The axolotls in this game are inspired by real animals in the real world, but with a touch of fantasy that is unique to the Minecraft universe.

One thing that sets axolotls apart in Minecraft is their player-friendly nature. If players manage to find an axolotl, they can subdue it and take it with them as an adventure companion.

An Axolotl that has become a pet will become a loyal ally for players. They will always protect players from monsters, such as Zombies (Drowned), or other hostile mobs. And not only in the water, they can protect players on land too!

However, the most overpowered ability of these pets is their ability to heal themselves. If you get injured in battle, your pet Axolotl will automatically approach the player character and heal it quickly.

This is a very useful feature because players no longer need to spend time collecting and using healing resources. The Axolotl can also heal adverse effects, such as poison or hunger, that the player may suffer from.

In addition, the axolotl also has the ability to dive in deep water. They can breathe air with their hind flippers, which allows them to stay underwater much longer than players.

This helps players explore the ocean and find hidden treasures or interesting structures in it. Axolotls are also known for their ability to heal themselves and play dead. Therefore players don't have to worry about losing their Axolotl.

How To Get Axolotl Minecraft

There are basically two ways to get an Axolotl. Both are also fairly easy to do and don't require a lot of complicated things. Here is the explanation so you can get your own Axolotl!

Catching an Axolotl in Minecraft Using a Bucket

The first way to get an Axolotl is by wild capture. To do this, you only need an Iron Bucket (Bucket) which can be made with three Iron Ingots.

It is obtained by burning Iron Ore using the Furnace. After having the bucket, all you have to do is find the Axolotl's habitat. This animal biome can generally be found in waters that have lots of Clay – Lush Cave for example.

To find Lush Cave, you only need to mine to a certain depth and find an underground cave that has its own spring. If the cave doesn't have Clay, you can create the biome yourself.

To make Clay, you can soak Dirt in a Bottle filled with water until it turns into Mud. If so, place the finished Mud on top of the Dripstone Block to turn the Mud into Clay.

Stack the Clay in an underground cave that has a spring to turn it into a Lush Cave and so Axolotl can spawn automatically. If it has spawned, aim the Bucket filled with water at the Axolotl, and officially you have your own Axolotl!

Breeding Axolotls Minecraft

The second way is to breed them. This can only be done if you have 2 or more Axolotls. Simply by looking for Tropical Fish as Axolotl's favorite food.

Take it using a Bucket, then give the Bucket containing the Tropical Fish (Bucker of Tropical Fish) to the Axolotl you want to breed. In no time, the baby Axolotls will respawn instantly! Easy isn't it?
