"Friends, we are in a sad position, we are devastated by the news of the passing of manga creator Akira Toriyama who died on March 1, due to an acute subdural hematoma he suffered. "Akira died at the age of 68," said Bird Studios in the post.

For additional information, subdural hematoma is a disease that attacks the lining of the brain, due to a buildup of blood. This is caused by rupture of blood vessels in the membrane.

"We feel our deepest condolences, because he still has a number of works that are still in the development stage. "He worked with passion until the end of his life, because of his high enthusiasm for life and the dreams he wanted to achieve," added Bird Studios.

Bird Studios also announced to all fans and fans of Akira's work, not to send flowers, gifts or visits, in order to honor his last wish.
