3 UGREEN Products You Must Have in 2023

Hello Vicigers, this time we will present several products from UGREEN for review. Who's curious?

There are three products that we will try this time, the first is the Docking Station, the second is the 2.5” Storage Enclosure, and the last is the Wireless Bluetooth Microphone.

So that it won't be too long, here is a brief review of three UGREEN products that you must have in 2023.

UGREEN USB-C Docking Station for Steam Deck (Model CM666)

This docking station has the same function as an adapter hub in general, not only can it be used for Steam Decks, but can also be used for all compatible devices, such as laptops, smartphones, Nintendo Switch, and others.

It just so happened that we didn't have a Steam Deck either, so we tried it on Nintendo Switch devices as well as on smartphones.

First, we will review the specifications listed on the box:

When we tried the docking station on the Nintendo Switch, everything worked fine, but the Nintendo Switch had to be placed upside down on the docking station, as the Nintendo Switch's USB-C port is at the bottom.

All ports function properly, starting from the HDMI port, RJ45, USB-C input & power supply. The resulting image is clear and does not show a decrease in performance at all.

HDMI output on this model supports 4K@60Hz; 2K@144Hz; and 1080P@240Hz, suitable for all monitors with varying resolutions and refresh rates.

Then for the internet connected with RJ45 it is also stable, there is no experience of disconnection in the middle of the road when playing games using the Nintendo Switch.

We didn't get to try the USB-A and USB-C outputs on the Nintendo Switch, because we didn't have a compatible device, such as an additional Game Controller.

FYI, for use on the Nintendo Switch, make sure you use an original charger or a charger that has the same output as the original, because if not, the docking station will not function normally.

Not only on the Nintendo Switch, we also tried this docking station on a compatible smartphone, namely the Samsung S23 Series.

After being plugged in with the docking station's USB-C input, Samsung DeX immediately worked after the HDMI cable was plugged in, and the smartphone screen display was immediately available on the monitor screen, then we tried all the available ports, and voila.. all the ports worked perfectly when we added additional devices such as Mouse, Keyboard, and Flash Drive.

The ethernet/internet port also runs smoothly without any problems, btw for smartphones, you don't need to connect a power supply to turn on all port functions on this docking station.

Unless you really want to charge your smartphone while charging. Apart from the smartphone, we also tested it on a laptop and didn't have a single problem, everything worked flawlessly.

The CM666 docking station is suitable for those of you who have a Steam Deck or Nintendo Switch, because the port on the default Nintendo Switch dock has limited port functions, you can explore all the functions of the Nintendo Switch through this docking station. UGREEN 2.5” Hard Drive Enclosure with USB-C (Model 50743)

Who doesn't need a storage enclosure nowadays? Most of them need it, starting from you who are office workers, gamers, or creative workers.

Apart from the cable, make sure the USB port on the device you are using is also compatible to support a maximum speed of up to 6Gbps.

It's useless, the cable already supports USB 3.1 but the device you want to plug in only supports USB 2.0, don't let that happen!

The material used in this enclosure is full plastic but still looks sturdy, so it looks cool when in use.

This enclosure supports SATA HDDs and SSDs that are compatible for laptops, not big sizes for PCs!

We tested with a 2.5 inch SATA Midasforce 1TB SSD with specifications of 550 MBps Read and 500 MBps Write Speed, an Indonesian local SSD brand. It seems that it is common for us to test using high-end SSDs such as Samsung Evo and the like, so this time we will try to test using a local brand SSD which is quite affordable.

UGREEN Wireless Bluetooth Microphone (Model CM476)

Finally, there is a wireless bluetooth microphone from UGREEN which is really good, the model is compact so it looks cool when used.

It's really suitable for Vicigers who are diligent in creating content, especially since the Bluetooth version used is already version 5.3, so there's no choppy sound when using the wireless mic

The sound produced from the UGREEN Model CM476 Wireless Bluetooth Microphone is very clear at a distance of less than 15 cm from the sound source. It has 3 levels of noise reduction so you can adjust the incoming sound according to the sounds around you.

We tried the mic in a crowded cafe, but the sound heard by the other person was very clear because of the noise reduction feature. When using this mic, you can talk freely by walking around because the distance between the receiver and the mic is 10 meters. 

You can monitor incoming sound with the in-ear monitor that is available in the box, so you don't need to be confused whether your voice is coming in or is clear to the other person you are talking to. If the ambient sound is still heard on the in-ear monitor, you can press the button next to the power button to activate noise reduction as needed.

In the sales box for the UGREEN Wireless Bluetooth Microphone, there is also a filter feather that can be attached to the Mic to reduce incoming wind noise so that the recorded sound can be clearer.

Next to the power button there is a small button that you can press 3 times to activate noise reduction.
