Upoint Esports Invitational Season 3 just ended. Tournament Mobile Legends: Bang Bang this is exclusively for the girls team hosted by upoint.

This time, VCGamers will talk about the results of this tournament and what makes this tournament quite special.

This is because GPX Basreng as the winning team has just won its first title through this tournament. Before discussing their journey, let's take a look at the explanation for the Upoint Esports Invitational Season 3 tournament below!

Upoint Esports Invitational Season 3

This tournament from Upoint is an online tournament that will take place from October 13 to October 18, 2022.

So, this tournament just finished on Sunday, closing with a pretty thrilling final.

Like other tournaments, UEI Season 3 has a group phase which contains a total of six teams. All matches are Bo3 and the top four teams qualify for the playoffs. The team that has the bottom two positions will be eliminated.

For the playoffs, all matches are Bo3, Finals Lower and Upper are Bo5, and finally the Grandfinals have a Bo7 system.

Of the six total teams, there is a prize pool or a total prize of Rp. 150 million. Here are the teams participating in the tournament:

2. RRQ Mika
3. AURA Phoenix
4. Echo Aeris
5. Delphine MBR
6. Geek Fam Ladies

Uniquely, this tournament does not have various well-known teams such as Bigetron ERA, Alter egos NYX, and EVOS LYNX. There's no clear reason why they didn't participate, but the team that took part in this tournament still has great potential.

Upoint Esports Group Stage Phase

In the group stage phase, GPX Basreng have shown their strength and prowess as a team. Each team played five times against other teams and the great thing is, GPX Basreng has never lost in a bo3 series.

They only lost three matches against MBR Delphyne (GPX Basreng final score 2-1), Echo Aeris (GPX Basreng final score 2-1), and AURA Phoenix (GPX Basreng final score 2-1).

Having never lost in a bo3 series, GPX Basreng is at the top of the group stage with a score of 5-0 or undefeated. With this score, they are entitled to advance to the playoffs.

GPX Basreng's journey in the Playoff Phase

In the playoff phase, GPX Basreng again showed excellence as a team. In the upper bracket semi-final phase, they met RRQ Mika and immediately won the match with a score of 2-1.

After the match, RRQ Mika forced to go to the lower bracket and meet AURA Phoenix.

Meanwhile, GPX Basreng advanced to the Upper Bracket Final against MBR Delphyne who managed to beat AURA Phoenix in their previous fight.

Funi and his team managed to eliminate MBR Delphyne with a landslide score of 3-0 in the bo5 match series.

Again winning the match, GPX Basreng succeeded in bringing MBR Delphyne to the lower bracket and they had to fight RRQ Mika.

RRQ Mika and MBR Delphyne faced off in a tense lower bracket finals match. However, RRQ Mika managed to close the victory with a narrow score of 3-2.

Upoint Esports Final Phase: GPX Basreng vs RRQ Mika

RRQ Mika had quite a hard time because the game's objectives were very disciplined GPX Basreng. The Basreng GPX team continued to gain time and got the Lord buff after successfully holding back a push from RRQ Mika.

GPX Basreng made another wipeout and secured the first game. The second game was more fierce, but GPX Basreng again won the game.

In the third game, RRQ Mika couldn't put up any significant resistance. The game from GPX Basreng was too neat and difficult to fight against, so they finally won the third game.

Similar to the fourth, teamwork and disciplined play were able to bring GPX the grand final victory and of course the first title.

With a score of 4-0, GPX Basreng won first place in the Upoint Esports Invitational Season 3 and won a cash prize of IDR 60 million.
