Spider Man 2 PS5 Update: New Skins and DLC Leaks

Good news for you fans Spider Man 2 on PS5! Recently, Insomniac Games announced the Spider Man 2 PS5 update which brings many new features and can definitely make the gaming experience more exciting.

Spider Man 2 PS5 Update

The latest update for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PS5 it comes with version 1.002.003, and this isn't just a regular bug fix. 

This patch brings various important fixes and additional features requested by the player community. Among the major updates, there are some major issues fixed, such as:

• Costume Repair: This update fixes several issues with costumes, including masks appearing wavy on Amazing 2 costumes and blurry webbing on Classic costumes;
• Data Saving Problem: Some players reported losing their save data after the previous update, and this has been fixed;
• Custom Accessibility Presets: Now, customized accessibility presets will not reset when you die or restart a checkpoint
• General Stability: This update also adds stability fixes to address crashes and other performance issues.

With additional features such as New Game+ and long-awaited new costumes, this patch certainly provides improvements and content that fans have been eagerly awaiting.

New Skins

This update also introduces eight new skins for Peter Parker and Miles Morales.

Four of them are new designs in collaboration with renowned designer Colm Dillane, aka KidSuper, and several special collaborators. Following are the details of each costume:

Metro Suit (Miles Morales)

Designer: KidSuper

This costume features the puffer design that you often see in the KidSuper collection with several color variants such as red with black, classic Spidey, and teal with purple. KidSuper said that this design feels very original and only they could have created it.

Ginga Suit (Miles Morales)

Designer: Vini Jr. and KidSuper

Inspired by Brazilian culture and football, the kit features black, green, yellow and blue. According to Vini Jr., this costume is a celebration of Brazilian culture and people that combines Spider-Man's signature energy and action with a Brazilian touch that makes him different from the rest.

Fluro Suit (Peter Parker)

Designer: Lando Norris and KidSuper

Inspired by the world of racing, the costume features a helmet and overalls, and features carbon material and Lando Norris' signature Fluro colors.

Norris said that this design combines elements of racing and speed, making this costume unique and interesting.

Motorchic Suit (Peter Parker)

Designer: Rina Sawayama and KidSuper

This costume features an edgy motorbike look with leather and metallic details. Rina Sawayama said that this design combines fun and edgy fashion, giving a rougher but still classic Spider-Man touch.

DLC leaks

Meanwhile, interesting leaks about DLC Spider-Man 2 has also been circulated. According to leaks, Insomniac Games is developing three new DLCs titled “Beetle Invasion,” “Extreme Carnage,” and “Spider-Verse Anomaly.” 

While there hasn't been an official announcement yet, this leak suggests that the new DLC will introduce new enemies and an interesting story.

“Beetle Invasion” may feature the Beetle character as a new enemy, while “Extreme Carnage” may focus on Cletus Cassidy aka Carnage, who was hinted at in the side quest “The Flame.” 

Meanwhile, “Spider-Verse Anomaly” will likely tie the game into Sony Pictures' popular animated franchise and possibly feature an interesting crossover.

Although Insomniac has not confirmed these details, fans certainly hope to be able to enjoy this exciting new content soon.
