The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is still the highest model in the Galaxy S26 Series product range because it has significant upgrades compared to the previous generation, namely Galaxy S25 Ultra.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra has an impressive display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, 200 MP resolution camera with a wider aperture, GalaxyAI Gen 3 and new features like the world's first Privacy Display are what make this smartphone so appealing.
The design utilizes aluminum armor for highly efficient heat management and overheating. This is also thanks to a redesigned vapor chamber system that's claimed to minimize heat output by up to 211 TP8T.
For its body, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has a slimmer body with a thickness of 7.9 mm and a weight of around 214 grams plus rounded corners, making it lighter and more comfortable to hold for a long time.
The screen is also protected by Corning Gorilla Armor 2 which is resistant to scratches or light impacts.
Then, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is equipped with IP68 certification so it is dust and water resistant to a depth of 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra also still carries the S-Pen Stylus which is stored in the body of the device so it is simple for taking notes, drawing or other activities.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is available in six colors: Cobalt Violet, Black, Sky Blue, and White. However, Pink Gold and Silver Shadow are exclusive colors available only at samsung.com.
This smartphone uses a 6.9-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X screen that supports QHD+ resolution (3120 x 1440 pixels) and an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz which makes animations and scrolling smoother.
Then, the peak brightness reaches 2,600 nits so the screen is still comfortable to view even in direct sunlight.
In addition, the screen has good anti-reflection, where light reflection can be effectively blocked so that outdoor activities remain comfortable.
The newest feature is the Privacy Display feature with Flex Magic Pixel technology which can make the screen darker, especially when viewed from the side, to maintain privacy when in public places.
This smartphone uses Android 16 with the One UI 8.5 interface and software updates for up to 7 years.
The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset built on the efficient 3nm TSMC N3P process.
In the AnTuTu v11 benchmark test, this smartphone recorded a score of around 3.6 – 3.7 million points, which shows significant performance compared to the previous version.
Then in the Geekbench 6 test, this chipset recorded a single-core score of 3,648 points and a multi-core score of 10,898 points as the first Samsung Galaxy S Ultra to reach more than 10,000 points in the multi-core test.

Meanwhile, the 1TB variant comes with 16GB of RAM. There are also 256GB and 512GB variants with 12GB of RAM each.
The main camera features a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP2 sensor with an f/1.4 aperture. It's also supported by a high-resolution photo processing pipeline and features a 24MP AI fusion mode to combine exposures and produce details approaching 50MP quality.
The 200 MP mode also offers sharp edge definition and wide dynamic range when taking high-contrast images.
The ultra-wide camera uses a 50 MP Samsung ISOCELL JN3 sensor with an f/1.9 aperture and autofocus feature.
The selfie camera has a resolution of 12 MP with an aperture of f/2.2 with an optimized AI ISP (Image Signal Processor) so that it can capture multiple objects in one frame when taking selfies.
The system consists of an upgraded 50MP periscope telephoto lens that uses the Sony IMX854 sensor and a 10MP telephoto lens instead of being f/2.9.
In addition, it also provides a 10x optical-quality zoom option through a sensor crop technique to produce sharper images.
The 10MP 3x telephoto camera remains the same as the previous generation. However, the four rear cameras make the smartphone more versatile.
In addition, you can also take pictures with a zoom range ranging from 0.6 to 100x Space Zoom to photograph objects from near to far.
Video recording has been upgraded to record up to 8K resolution at 30 fps.
The Log recording feature has also been upgraded with custom options and support for real-time LUT preview while recording. Log recording and preset LUTs create more cinematic videos.

The Galaxy AI Gen 3 feature makes the Galaxy AI ecosystem more proactive and adaptive, and there is a new feature, Now Nudge, which can understand what is currently displayed on the screen and provide automatic suggestions.
In terms of safety, Galaxy AI data processing is protected by the Personal Data Engine that is on-going on the device with Samsung Knox Vault encryption and is even updated for up to 7 years alongside the operating system.
Related battery Still the same as previous generations, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra still uses a 5,000 mAh battery.
Cons:

Below are some of the drawbacks of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra:
Privacy Display Feature
This feature can obscure screen content so that it cannot be seen by others from the side in public areas. However, when enabled, the viewing angle is more limited and less comfortable when viewed from the side.
Nighttime photography results are inconsistent
The camera has upgraded lens aperture for shooting in low light conditions, but the results of photos at night still depend on the light, object and zoom level.
Doesn't Have Built-in Magnets for Magnetic Accessories
This smartphone doesn't have a built-in Qi2 magnet for attaching magnetic accessories. Therefore, it requires a special magnetic case.
Screen Color Depth Still 8-bit
The display panel still uses 8-bit technology, allowing for only 16.7 million colors. However, the screen quality remains excellent.
RAM is still 12 GB
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra uses 12 GB of RAM in the 256 GB and 512 GB variants, which is sufficient for multitasking or gaming.
However, for AI (Artificial Intelligence) use, gaming or long-term work needs, 12 GB capacity still feels insufficient.
Rounder Design
The corners of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra's body are more rounded, making it comfortable to hold, but less distinctive when compared to other boxy Samsung smartphones.
Expensive price
This smartphone is considered a premium flagship, priced at 1,299 Rupiah in the United States. This price is quite high, especially in the Indonesian market, making it less suitable for users who need a smartphone as a daily driver without premium features.
