Harald was the last king of the kingdom of Elbaph and one of the most influential figures in the history of the land of the giants in the politics of the universe. One Piece.

Initially, Harald was known as a brutal, troublemaking, and arrogant giant. In fact, in his youth, he frequently wreaked havoc across various regions of the world.

But his life began to change after Harald met his first love, Ida, a giantess from Samuwanai Island in the South Blue who decided to travel the world.

Due to his large size, he worked as a sideshow attraction in a circus. From there, he began to develop a sense of compassion, love, and equality between races.

Long story short, while Harald was sailing around the Bunt Kingdom, he saw Ida's circus troupe performing. It looked like Ida was a captive giant.

Out of solidarity, he went berserk and freed Ida. Instead of expressing gratitude, Ida cursed Harald and claimed she was working to repay him.

He forced Harald to apologize for the misunderstanding and all the damage he had caused. From then on, Harald learned the importance of peace and international relations.
