Getting to Know the Character of Kaguya Shinomiya

Kaguya is a representation of Nayotake no Kaguya-hime, the main character in The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter. Her cold nature is based on Aka Akasaka's view of how Kaguya-hime confronts her suitors with impossible tasks.

Kaguya is a beautiful young girl with white skin, long black hair that is usually tied with a black-red ribbon (her hair looks parallel to the middle of her back when tied) with bangs or strands of hair hanging down on both sides.

HER large almond-shaped red eyes (which can look sharper, depending on her mood), thin eyebrows, and a slim but feminine body, with seemingly small breasts. She is described in her manga character profile as having 'stunning beauty'.

In the past, and at the beginning of her time on the Student Council, she always wore her hair down, without her iconic red ribbon. As an 'Ice Princess', her eyes looked sharper, darker, and devoid of life, giving her an aura of gloomy, cold, inaccessible, and inaccessible beauty.

This reflects his mental state, influenced by a very strict upbringing, where he acts coldly towards others, keeping them at a distance for fear of hurting others.

Later, when he becomes closer to the other members of the Student Council (especially, Miyuki Shirogane) and other students, he asks his servant Ai Hayasaka to make him "cute".

The red ribbon is his attempt to appear less intimidating and cold in the eyes of others and marks a change in his personality. Instead of remaining cold and aloof from others, he begins to form meaningful relationships and becomes brighter, funnier, and happier overall.

This change was especially reflected in his eyes, which no longer looked empty and distant. Now, his eyes looked wider and more lively. He usually dresses in the Shuchi'in school uniform.

Kaguya was initially a very cold and rational individual, but she slowly changed after joining the student council. During his early days on the council, he considered Miyuki Shirogane as someone worthy of him being in a relationship with her only if she confessed her feelings first.

Therefore, he kept playing psychological games to try to get her to confess. Later in the series, his actions show that he is starting to accept his feelings for Miyuki, although he will not admit it openly.

Due to coming from a rich and important family, Kaguya can sometimes appear arrogant and very confident about her intelligence and extraordinary skills.

However, this was only his image in the eyes of others. In his heart, he always felt great pressure to live up to his family's expectations and felt discouraged from doing the things his friends did every day.
