MLBB X Street Fighter Collaboration
When Moonton teased the MLBB collaboration with Street Fighter, we all had a clear idea of what the event would be like.
For those unfamiliar, Street Fighter is Capcom's renowned fighting game franchise. And as we know, this isn't MLBB's first collaboration with a similar game genre.
Before Street Fighter, MLBB also collaborated with King of Fighters (KoF). The response was quite positive, considering its release itself was split into several batches.
However, unlike KoF, this Street Fighter event only targets one role. As the name suggests, with the "fighter" prefix, the four heroes selected are all fighters!
Now, this collaboration event, titled "Round 1," has been running since Friday (July 3rd). And judging by the name, it's highly likely there will be other rounds as well.
MLBB X Street Fighter Collaboration Skin
Now let's go straight to the main discussion, namely the heroes who will get collaboration skins. MLBB X Street Fighter. So far, four skins have been successfully realized.
This collaboration adapts four of the most famous characters from the Street Fighter franchise. Not only that, but each skin also comes with a painted skin—eight outfits in total. Here are the details:
4. Guile – Dyrroth
Let's start with the protagonist with the most phenomenal appearance: Guile. Famous for his "outrageous" crew cut, he was the first character to receive a collaboration.
With a close-range melee fighting style that often relies on charging before releasing, it's natural that Dyrroth was chosen as the vessel that Moonton considered most suitable.
In Outfit 1, Guile sports his latest costume, a blue denim jumpsuit. This outfit will make your Dyrroth look like Guile in mechanic mode.
As for Outfit 2, her iconic uniform with a strong military theme is also present: a green tank top and camo-patterned cargo pants make her look very military!
3. Chun-Li – Guinevere
As for this one, I don't think it needs any further introduction. Well, who else but Chun-Li, the Street Fighter star? Moonton made a great decision to bring her in!
Chun-Li is so popular that she has her own fanbase that helps support the franchise's popularity. That's why... Moonton Choose Guin as a platform, many users will definitely buy it!
Her first outfit is from Chun-Li's apparel from Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves (FF: CotW). She wears a white, long-sleeved Qipao paired with blue jeans leggings.
Meanwhile, her classic signature outfit comes as Outfit 2: a combination of a high-slit blue Qipao with white 'majorette' boots – complete with her signature spike bracelet accessories.
2. Ken – Chou
Next, we move on to one of the two deuteragonists of the Street Fighter franchise: Ken. Moonton entrusted Chou to Ryu's "big buddy" as his vessel.
Ken's fighting style is "Shotokan." It is believed to be inspired by Karate, combined with Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do—which also heavily influenced Chou's designs.
For Outfit 1, just like Chun-Li, Ken wears apparel from the FF: CotW collaboration. The only difference is the top, which is replaced by a black t-shirt and a brown parka, along with army boots.
Dan Outfit 2 returns Ken's appearance to his 'template' suit, with a blood red Karate Gi and a plain black belt indicating Dan's highest level of martial arts.
1. Ryu – Paquito
And in first place is Paquito, the main character's vessel, Ryu. It's no surprise that this collaboration has given the boxing hero a significant buff!
Uniquely, this skin also adapts some of Ryu's kick-based moves. As a result, Ryu's Paquito is no longer a boxer but a martial arts expert!
Outfit 1 makes him look like a wanderer, with a topless look clad only in a tattered maroon robe and a white Karate Gi bottom with a worn black belt.
Then her classic look wearing a white sleeveless Karate Gi suit and a red headband is again only seen in Outfit 2 – just like the other three skins above.
Total Price of Collaboration Event
After further investigation, it turns out these skins are quite expensive, Vicigers. This is understandable, considering that collaboration events often offer very premium quality.
Reported from content released by the Indonesian “father of offlaner”, R7 Tatsumaki, to complete all the skins for this collaboration event, he could spend around 30 thousand diamonds!
Meanwhile from videos which Jess No Limit uploaded on his YouTube account, to complete the four skins and their paint jobs he spent approximately IDR 5 million.
From there, we can conclude that for each skin, you'll need to budget around IDR 1.2 million rupiah (including the painted version). Of course, this isn't a cost-effective approach.
