There has been no confirmation about being able to play PS4 games on PS5. It seems, based on Mark Cerny's explanation, this is unlikely to happen.

According to Jim Ryan, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, around 99 percent of PS4 games are currently supported on PS5. Initially, we knew that the top 100 PS4 games by sales and other figures were supported on PS5.

Comparing PS4 to PS5 on the visual elements is something that is quite difficult to do. Newer versions offer 4K resolution, Ray Tracing, increased drawing distance and more.

The increased framerate on newer versions will go up to 60 FPS. This can't be tested until the game comes out, as Rockstar hasn't shared a gameplay trailer yet.

Rockstar revealed caries details about the upcoming version via two Newswire posts over the last month. The initial post talks about features and improvements.

The GTA Series videos also compare screenshots as Grand Theft Auto veterans and valued members of the community. The first difference on PS5 that screamed at audiences, was the change made to the lighting.

The inclusion of Ray Tracing makes its presence felt quite strongly. The shadows cast by the Vinewood markings and other elements look very natural.

On PS4, the lights are either too bright or too dim, and the balance is off. Likewise, the image is quite generic and does not mimic reality.
