Bucky: Tips and Tricks for Using Bucky's Weapons in Valorant!

Hello Vicigers, in this article we will discuss how to use Bucky's weapon on Valorant. Bucky is one of the shotguns in Valorant that has high damage for close combat.

Bucky goes into Valorant more than almost any other weapon in the game (other than the Operator, perhaps). Shotgun is the king of all weapons used in every rank, in almost every round, with only 850 Creds.

Meanwhile the 'shotgun-sniper' is no more, with a significant nerf to remote right click in patch 2.06 – it's still a very decent eco buy. Here's how you can get the most out of it.

Damage stats

Up close, Bucky offers some of the highest damage of any weapon in Valorant. Each shot fires 15 bullets (right click explodes shoots five), each doing up to 44 damage. This is an incredible amount of burst.

The slower rate of fire and the smaller magazine, which is five bullets, is balanced with the damage it produces, but it doesn't matter. Bucky with his alternative shots can do medium and close range combat, firing more direct bursts. If you land most of the spread on enemies up to about 12 meters, they will die.

Movement spreads & inaccuracies

Due to alternative fire, Bucky has two different spreads. The left click is a bit wider, but very dangerous up close. It can spread pretty fast. Right clicks are tighter and make them better at long range. If your target is too close, a right click will do no damage, so be careful.

The accuracy of the shotgun when moving and jumping doesn't change much. While it can get a little wild if you do it all at once, you can still run-and-shoot with the Shotgun in Valorant and do a lot of damage. Plus, if you get in front of your enemy it doesn't matter, they will all take hits on the enemy.

The spreads are also better than shown in the game, thanks to the compensation buff in patch 2.06. Keep this in mind when you pick up this weapon, because it's quite close, up to about 15 meters.

Right click is good, but not the best anymore

The only reason you'd buy Bucky in Valorant was for his right-click, which rivals rifles at about a third of the price. However, nerf 2.06 made that strategy a distant memory.

With fewer bullets on the right click, you have to be more careful with your aim. Also, the damage reduction is quite strong. but if you get stuck just do a few right clicks and pray.

Play with movement, and it's unstoppable

This weapon's slow firing speed, and lack of long-range damage, in the end it doesn't matter if you can get into your opponent's face with a shotgun. Taking Bucky on a character that offers a lot of movement, like Raze or Jett, makes his shotgun practically unstoppable.

Not even a rifle can fight Bucky at close range, unless you manage to get a head shot with a Vandal or Phantom. you can jump right into the fray, get an enemy or two instantly, and swing the round in your favor. If you play with a lot of aggressiveness, this weapon is for you.

With all that power for just 850 Creds, it's no wonder why this gun is still a pretty popular pick-up after being nerfed. But it is very destructive.

Now, here are some tips and tricks for using weapons in-game. Bucky will be compatible with agents who have high movement skills such as Jett, Yoru, and also Raze.
