5 Quick Ways To Travel Minecraft in the Latest Update

Minecraft items

Minecraft 1.19 is a huge world where players can travel Minecraft and discover new items, blocks, mobs and much more.

Since it's a sandbox game, the world map is nearly endless, spanning millions of chunks across all three realms. To advance in the game, the player must travel far and wide to find rare structures and find some of the most valuable treasures.

This is where the mode of transportation becomes a conversation. Of course, players most often travel on foot and run. However, if they cover thousands of blocks, running is not the most efficient mode of transportation.

Minecraft Travel Tricks Quickly

There are several ways to Travel Minecraft in the game which can take several minutes for players to travel hundreds or even thousands of blocks. Here are the five fastest Minecraft Travel modes in the Minecraft 1.19 update.

Use Minecarts With Powered Rails

One of the oldest ways to travel long distances in the game is to create an extensive rail system with redstone-operated rails and mine carts. There are several types of rails, both powered and non-powered, that can be placed on a beam, horizontally or diagonally.

Once everything is set up, the player can create multiple stations to stop and start the mine cart. These mine carts can be pushed forward periodically with the help of powered rails without the player doing anything.

This is one of the most tried and tested methods for traveling in any world. However, it is not the fastest.

Lower Portal

Nether

Traveling deep into the Upper Worlds through the Nether realm had been a painstaking feat for centuries. For those who may not know, if a player travels one block in the Nether, it counts as eight in the Overworld.

So, to travel long distances in the Overworld, players usually build multiple nether portals in all directions of the Nether to quickly travel thousands of blocks in the Overworld. The downside is that it can only be used for fast travel in the Upper World.

Players travel eight times the same distance while in the Nether, making them much faster in terms of travel. Even those wishing to get from one place to another in the outside world can use the Nether for faster travel.

The key is to build multiple portals in important locations in the outside world and connect paths between each portal in the Nether. In this way, moving from one area of the Minecraft world to another is eight times faster than traveling in the outside world.

Soul Speed in Soul Sand

Soul Speed is a special treasure enchantment that can only be found by looting chests in Bastion Remnants or by bartering with Piglins. This enchantment can be applied to boots and helps players walk and run faster in soul sand or soul earth blocks.

This is another way in which players travel Minecraft more quickly in the game. The only downside is that players will always need boots with that special enchantment to run faster.

The soul sand was very annoying to walk through as it significantly slowed down the normal walking speed. With the soul speed enchantment, available exclusively for boots, players can move extra fast in the Nether blocks instead of going slower.

To travel in the outside world, one could choose to create a soul sand passage and use their Soul Speed magic boots to move faster than before.

Plus, the Soul Speed enchantment has three different levels: I, II, and III. The higher the enchant level, the faster the player will move while wearing boots.

Boat on the Ice Bridge

As players walk over blocks of ice, they will notice that they can outrun them and slide when stopped.

Over the years, players have come up with a tactic where they can use a boat to slide at insane speeds and travel thousands of blocks in a matter of minutes.

If the player places ice blocks alternatively, the boat can row them faster. This technique can be used in any world, but players will always need a boat to travel.

Elytra With Fireworks Rocket

Elytra is one of the most powerful gears in the game. This is an ultra-rare item that can only be found on the End City ship.

It can be worn by players by changing the chest plate and allows them to slide down from any height. Players gradually discover that fireworks rockets can be used with this equipment to launch themselves and increase their speed.

With a combination of Elytra rockets and fireworks, players can fly wherever they want. This is arguably the easiest and fastest mode of transportation in Minecraft 1.19. Of course, players will need a steady supply of fireworks to keep flying.
