Singapore Suspected of Cheating, Indonesian Valorant National Team Wins with SEA Games 2023

National Team or Timnas Valorant Indonesia won the 2023 SEA Games together with Singapore. Although, the final match was not held until the end.

The match was not held until it was finished because Singapore was suspected of cheating and not playing properly. Thus, Indonesia chose to walk out of the match.

Singapore Valorant Team Allegedly Cheating

This alleged fraud was revealed in the Grand Final match which was held on Wednesday, 10 May 2023. Where, the Indonesian National Team had asked that the match be stopped first.

BA Sea Games Indonesia, Valezka, via his Instagram account, delivered an update related to this matter.

Valezka's Instastory upload explains several things about the events that occurred in the grand final match.

Where, there was Bug Abuse in the final which was carried out by Singapore.

"The final decision, the Indonesian team chose not to play, because the Sea Games committee considered this Bug Abuse to be a light violation and there was no need for punishment for the Singapore Team," wrote Instasory Valezka, who was reposted on PBESI's official Instagram account, @pbesi_official.

Apart from that, he also said that this prevented the Indonesian Valorant National Team from playing.

"Because to maintain the dignity of our nation and the situation is not conducive," he said.

He asked for the support of all parties to support the Indonesian Valorant National Team. "Thank you all, please support our Valorant Indonesia Team, of course we are also very sad," he said.

The Indonesian Valorant National Team Wins with Singapore

The PBESI account also provides an explanation regarding the situation that occurred in the final match of Valorant at the 2023 SEA Games.

It was conveyed that the General Chairperson of PBESI and its staff had struggled to uphold the principles and values of sports such as sportsmanship, integrity, fairness and honor.

“All of us, and our extraordinary passion to uphold the noble values of esports, sports, and the SEA Games are heard and get support from the NOC and the SEA Games federation SEAGF. GOLD together is the decision, “wrote the account.

He explained that for Indonesia this was not a matter of gold, silver or bronze.

"But once again this decision was accepted as a form of our respect for the values of brotherhood between nations which the SEA Games also exalt," wrote a statement in a post on the PBESI Instagram account, @pbesi_official.

Congratulations to the Indonesian Valorant Team for their struggle and high spirits to place the honor of the nation and state of Indonesia above all else.

“Thank you also to all Esports friends who have supported the Valorant National Team! Continue to give your best support because Indonesia's match in the SEA Games is not over yet!” thus wrote the caption of the upload.
