Sony officially announced the release of the newest PlayStation, namely the PS5 Slim.

As the name suggests, this PS5 model has a slimmer and lighter body compared to the regular PS5. That's because of the Blu-ray drawer that you can remove.

PS5 Slim will come in two types or variants, namely PS5 bundled with an Ultra HD Blu-ray Drive and PS5 Digital Edition.

The PlayStation 5 Slim still uses the same technology as the regular PlayStation 5. 

However, what makes this slim version interesting is its smaller size 30% and lighter weight 24% compared to the regular version.

The PS5 Ultra HD Blu-ray Drive is 358 mm wide, 96 mm high with a thickness of 216 mm, and weighs 3.2 kg.

Meanwhile, the PS5 Digital Edition is 358 mm wide, 80 mm high with a thickness of 216 mm, and weighs 2.6 kg.

 In addition, this latest version allows users to add an Ultra HD Blu-ray Drive to the PS5 Digital Edition.  So users can play two types of games, namely the digital version and also the physical version.

For the storage itself, the two PlayStation 5 Slim variants have storage up to 1TB SSD.

The PlayStation 5 Slim itself will be available on the market starting next November and the first country that will have the opportunity to try it is the United States.
