Chronology of the Leak Issue
This data leak incident occurred one year ago, precisely in August 2024. Nintendo through its partner, Game Freak, then officially announced this in October.
No less than 1TB of internal documents were leaked, including source code, sprites, and more. Fans have dubbed this leak "Teraleak."
Initially, the impact of this leak wasn't immediately apparent, and the gaming industry remained relatively calm. But everything changed when Centro Leak struck!
The name is already very well known among fans as a leaker who loves to reveal many leaks regarding this monster "fighting" franchise.
As a “first hand”, not a few of his leaks have been proven to be true: skyrocketing his popularity as one of the most reliable leakers in the gaming industry.
And exactly on October 13, 2025, with only a few days' pause before the global release of the latest series Pokemon Legends: ZA, the leakers leaked Teraleak to the public!
What's in it?

External Factors
- The Tenth Generation will be titled Pokemon Winds and Waves Nintendo announce/release in 2026;
- Shigeru Ohmori will be directing the series – a veteran director who was also responsible for previous major Pokemon titles: Sun and Moon, Sword and Shield, and Scarlet and Violet;
- The leakers stated that this information was a leak sourced directly from the director's internal data in 2021.
Region and Theme
- It is also stated there that the region will be adapted from Southeast Asia, especially Indonesia!;
- Nature themes, particularly marine and archipelago, will be heavily featured in this series. Therefore, adventure and open world will be the genres Nintendo will be embracing.
- Although set in Indonesia, the initial city will be inspired by the metropolitan area of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Mechanic
- There will be several new mechanics coming, starting with Infinity, Pokemon Seeds, and the ability to play around with the weather;
- There will also be new Legendary Pokémon themed after the series' namesake: Storm and Wave. These two will appear as the grandfathers and ancestors of all Pokémon in the world.
- Unlike previous games, this game will combine the Gym system with the Pokémon Titan system. There will be a total of 18 challenges, and if players successfully complete them, they will advance to Champion Battle.
- As an open-world adventure game, the series also features non-linear progression. Once players acquire ocean traversal abilities (such as the Surf and Dive HMs), they can immediately fight bosses and finish the game early—although this will be more difficult than following the story progression.
Plot
- The main character (a 13-year-old teenager) is invited on vacation by his mother, who just won a trip to a tropical country. Along with his baby brother, the three of them go exploring! Upon arrival, they meet a young, 21-year-old Pokemon professor who focuses on researching the relationship between weather and Pokemon;
- The antagonists are an "oligarchic" group called the Land Development Team. Its leader is an aging tycoon who owns a renowned hotel chain, but became corrupt after his beloved son died in an accident involving Pokemon. Now, he operates in the shadows, trying to train his naive and conflicted grandson.
