ML Season 38 Update
Without further ado, let's get straight to the main discussion of this article, namely all the updates and changes that are officially live in the latest MLBB season.
If you read the patch notes directly, I'm sure quite a few Vicigers here will often find themselves even more confused, right? So, it's better to just read this summary article from VCGamers!
To make it easier for you to understand, VCGamers has also summarized all the details using simpler and more accessible language. Here's the full review:
New Hero: Obsidia

We'll start with a new hero who has probably been circulating in many creators' content – the newest marksman (MM) with incredibly fresh mechanics: Obsidia.
Yep, unlike other MMs, Obsidia is very fond of "hunting" fast-moving heroes (usually assassins). Gold laners don't need to worry about being caught out by the most sat-set anymore!
Events

Who knows where they got the "formula" from, but Moonton is now diligently tweaking its map. Not permanently, but as a periodic event.
And in Season 38, Moonton is releasing events in the form of map configuration changes and obstacles. Not just one or two, but up to four different map types:
- Expanding River: The river is overflowing! Land of Dawn It could also flood. The entire jungle area would be considered a river;
- Broken Walls: No one knows who caused the riots, but many “public facilities” were damaged – the walls were full of holes;
- Dangerous Grass: Looks like the grass cutters in the Land of Dawn are on vacation. The grass is getting thicker and thicker!
- Flying Cloud: Fix Son Goku's Kinton Cloud coming to MLBB!
Hero Revamp

This season's update also includes several hero revamps. Some received comprehensive updates, while others were just cosmetic:
- Alice: A complete overhaul, including mechanics and appearance. Only her first skill, blink, remains. Her passive, second skill, and (especially) her ultimate have been tweaked to make her more sustainable as a jungler in the current meta.
- Floryn: The passive controls are made to be more compact;
- Angela: To “rival” Floryn, the Angela of the past is no longer the same as she is now. Besides her second skill no longer being able to bind minions, the cooldown (CD) of her ultimate has also become very fast – allowing for a change in gameplay mechanics;
- Bane: The shark no longer knocks back, only knocks up;
- Silvanna: Skill-2 can only be cancelled with high crowd control (CC);
- Thamuz: The passive has been slightly modified;
- Dyroth: Only the appearance has been changed to make it fresher and more contemporary.
Buffs, Nerfs, and Adjustments
Don't forget, buffs and nerfs will always be included in every update. Therefore, Moonton has included them in this patch, summarized as follows:
- Buff – Chip: Become a little stronger to get out of the “cave”;
- Nerf – Kimmy: Reduced fire rate for “tap tap”, now the shooting joystick (the right one) must be pressed for optimal results;
- Adjustments – Cici: The fighter has been getting too sustain-heavy lately. So, Moonton has slightly reduced her sustain capacity.
