Garena hasn't added a new map to Free Fire for a long time. However, last month, a new location with the code name "Shangri-La" was spilled by Garena. Similar to all the other spoilers from Garena, the original name of the new map turns out to be the Alpine map.

Alpine Free Fire Map Release Date

Apparently, the Alpine map will be part of the “New Era” Free Fire new year celebration event, which will arrive on December 29, 2021. The Alpine map is the fifth map ever added to Free Fire, along with Bermuda, Purgatory, Kalahari, and Bermuda Remastered. In addition, the "Alpine Resurrection" event will begin on December 25, 2021.

You will be able to see this new map on the webpage available on its release date. The web event, dubbed New Age, may be available from December 15, 2021 onwards. According to the leak, the Alpine map will be a very immersive map.

Where Are Alpine Maps Taken From?

Map Alpine is Garena's interpretation of a mountainous region with rich biodiversity around snowy mountains and forests. This is likely based on the Alps, a mountainous region in central Europe.

Semi-natural forests and meadows are found on the lower slopes but, as altitude increases and temperatures decrease, trees become sparse, replaced by snow. Maybe more like Vikendi in the PUBG Mobile game.

Overall, Alpine is a pretty unique map based on region that no other battle royale has tried before.

The most similar to Alpine is Vikendi from PUBG. However, the Alpine map in Free Fire doesn't have as much snow as Vikendi in PUBG.

Alpine Map Details on Free Fire

Map Alpine is located on a plateau, the former is more focused on normal residences and facilities while the latter is focused on tourism.

There is almost no tourism on the island, with Carousel and Snowfall being the only associated structures. In terms of design, Alpine is very similar to Bermuda, with the same river dividing the southern part of the map.

This map will introduce many new features such as trains, helicopters, wind generators, unbreakable fences, new decorative vehicles, new constructions, new textures and exclusive buildings not present in other maps.

There will be 6 major population centers or cities in the Alpine map

As in other maps in Free Fire, this new one also has several big locations that will be the center of loot struggles and the best hiding locations. Here are the locations in the new Alpine map that you need to know.

• Militia is the usual military complex on all Free Fire islands. Located right in the middle of the Alpine map, it will likely be a hot drop zone for players.
• Snowfall on the northwest is the only area on the map covered in snow. The location was full of Japanese themed buildings.
• Train is the next big location. These locations will include trains. However, so far there is no indication that Free Fire players will be able to use it.
• Stadium is the sports complex on the south side of the map. This location will have a basketball court.
• Forest Red will be a residential area with a big red tree.
• Dock is the final big location, with two giant warehouses full of loot.
