This is the latest generation of MacBook Pro with M2 Pro and M2 Max chips

apples just announced the latest Macbook Pro on Tuesday (17/1/2023) United States time. In this latest product, Apple says there are features and processor performance that are better and 6x faster.

This product comes in two sizes, namely 14 inches and 16 inches which are presented with a chip M2 Pro and the 5nm-based M2 Max.

The additional chip is able to increase the performance and efficiency of the laptop higher than the previous generation of products.

On MacBook Pro models M2 The latest Max is available up to 96 GB of RAM, HDMI 2.1 port and support for external 8K displays, Wi-Fi 6.E which can support signal connectivity more quickly.

The performance battery on the 16-inch MacBook is claimed by Apple to be the longest-lasting battery ever in a Mac product because it can last for more than 22 hours.

Meanwhile, the new 14-inch model is advertised with up to 18 hours of battery life. The battery life allows users to work and play games smoothly and for a long time.

The M2 Max chip also provides greater speed than the M1 Max chip, has a faster 12-core 20% CPU, and has a GPU of up to 38 cores that can support rendering effects or 3D designs on a fairly large scale.

Apple claims that with this M2 Max chip, the MacBook Pro can be 6x faster than a MacBook Pro with an Intel processor, and the Cinema 4D software which is stated to be 30% is faster.

For the MacBook Pro with the M2 Pro chip, it has a 10-core or 12-core CPU that offers faster performance up to 20%, and for the GPU it has a 16-core and 19-core GPU that is claimed to be able to increase graphics faster by 30%, besides that, the Neura Engine has 16 cores. it is claimed that the 40% is also faster than the previous chip generation, namely the M1 Pro.

The design of the new MacBook Pro hasn't changed much from the previous generation, including an SD card slot, three Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, MagSafe 3 battery charging, and a six-speaker sound system.

The keyboard and touch bar were redesigned to provide a more comfortable typing experience and easier access to frequently used applications. The screen presents Liquid Retina XDR based on LCD panels, with support for ProMotion refresh rates up to 120Hz.

The camera resolution that this MacBook Pro has is 1080p with wide-aperture and large image sensor which can display better recording or image performance when in dim light.

This latest MacBook product is intended for professionals who need higher-performance devices in video editing or graphic design, music production, 3D rendering and other heavy software work.

These software include Adobe Photoshop, Xcode, Motion, C4D, DaVinci Resolve, Logic Pro, Final Cut Pro, Affinity Photo 2, and Capture One.

This MacBook Pro is also equipped with sophisticated security features, namely the Apple T2 and Touch ID security chips which are useful for providing more protection for personal data and professional users.

For the official price quoted from the apple.com page, the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M2 Pro chip starts at IDR 30 million and the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M2 Max chip starts at IDR 47 million.

Meanwhile, the 16-inch M2 Pro chip MacBook Pro starts at IDR 37 million, and the 16-inch MacBook Pro with the M2 Max chip costs IDR 53 million. This price also adjusts to SSD Storage which can be up to 1TB.

MacBook Pro with M2 Pro and M2 Max chips will still be coming to Indonesia in the near future.

However, reported on Apple's official website, this product can be ordered from January 17, 2023 at the online store apple.com or the Apple Store App in 27 countries and regions including the United States, and will be present at the local Apple Store on January 24, 2023.
