Build Phainon Honkai Star Rail: Recommended Party, Trace, Relic, Eidolon
Being one of the important characters in Amphoreus, Phainon was finally released as a playable character in patch 3.4. Honkai Star Rail.
Phainon, who bears a resemblance to Honkai Impact 3rd's Kevin Kaslana, is a new Destruction path unit with massive DPS.

Phainon was one of the Chrysos Heirs, wielding the Worldbearing Coreflame. This Coreflame was held by the previous Titan, Kephale.
According to circulating prophecies, this character, who hails from a small village called Aedes Elysiae, is often called the Deliverer or savior. This is because Phainon will usher in a new era for Amphoreus, the Era Nova.
This character, whose real name is Khaslana, had a good friend named Cyrene who unfortunately died due to the Black Tide that destroyed their village.
If you've played Trailblaze Mission 3.4, it'll be revealed that Kevin Kaslana's expy character has restarted his life 33,550,336 times to save Amphoreus. It wasn't until cycle 33,550,337 that Trailblazer arrived.
Phainon Trace Ability Priority
Our “Nameless Hero” can be said to be one of the DPS hypercarry the strongest released by Honkai Star Rail following Acheron and Feixiao.
Characters who have the Destruction path with the Physical element have Enhanced Status where they will enter a solo attack phase that produces very large DMG.
Unlike most characters who use Energy to use Ultimate, Phainon will use energy from Coreflame.
These Coreflame stacks can be obtained by using Skills, receiving buffs from support characters in the team, or getting debuffs from enemies that only target them.
The more single target buffs from team characters towards Khaslana, the greater the DMG generated compared to mass support.
When Coreflame is fulfilled, you will be able to use the ultimate so that it turns into Khaslana.
During our Deliverer transformation, we will create an area called “Ruinous Irontomb” which makes other characters in the party unable to provide support or anything, and all enemies have a Physical weakness.
While in Khaslana form, she will last for 12 turns. In this form, Khaslana will gain new skills, which she can use:
- Let There Be Light: Gain 2 points of “Coreflame,” dealing Physical DMG to one enemy and enemies around the primary target.
- Calamity: Soulscorch Edict: Gains Scourge based on the number of enemies and 1 stack of Soulscorch. This allows enemies to attack immediately. Each hit deals DMG and deals counter DMG based on the number of Soulscorch.
- Foundation: Stardeath Verdict: Removes debuffs from enemies and deals Physical DMG according to the amount of Scourge.
Therefore Skill = Ultimate Trace is a must-prioritize skill. Maximizing Technique is also crucial because it allows you to fight enemies instantly during exploration.
Phainon Build Recommendations
A focused build means optimizing Khaslana's phase to generate maximum damage. Here are recommendations for Eidolon, Relic, Light Cone, and a team for a maximum build.
Eidolon Recommendations
Eidolon 2 (E2) is the author's recommendation for those of you looking to acquire an Eidolon. In this Eidolon, Khaslana's phase will receive an increase in Physical RES PEN and a stack that increases DMG on Foundation attacks: Stardeath Verdict.
Additionally, you can obtain Eidolon 6 (E6) because there's no limit to the number of Coreflames you can use during the Khaslana phase. This allows Foundation: Stardeath Verdict to deal the highest DMG to enemies with the highest HP.
Recommendations for Relics, Ornaments, Light Cones
As a DPS, the stats you should be aiming for are: Crit DMG, Crit Rate, and ATK. A Crit DMG to Crit Rate ratio of at least 1:2, with a minimum Crit Rate of 100.
ATK will be optimal if you can get at least 2500. You might be wondering if our Deliverer needs SPD? The answer is no.
This is because our Nameless Hero uses Base SPD which can be obtained from the buffs of support characters Sunday and Bronya, not % SPD obtained from Relics, Ornaments, or Lightcones.
Wavestrider Captain is Phainon's best relic choice because it provides an ATK buff for his Enhanced State.
Arcadia of Woven Dreams can be an alternative because it can provide increased DMG while in Khaslana's Enhanced State.
The best lightcone you can use is Thus Burns the Dawn because it provides a much higher ATK than other Lightcones. However, other alternatives are:
- On the Fall of an Aeon
- A Trail of Bygone Blood
- Something Irreplaceable
- Under the Blue Sky
Best Team Recommendations
From Phainon's recommendations and gameplay, you will need a Hypercarry team. So the author's recommendation for team composition is as follows:
- 3 team slots use for support
- Using 2 supports Harmony (buff) + Abundance
- Do not use the Preservation path so that enemy attacks are directed at Phainon.
- Using single focus buffs like Sunday, Bronya, Tingyun, and Yukong
- Supports that provide Advanced Forward buffs such as Cerydra, Sunday, and Bronya
Following the above suggestions, here are some examples of Phainon teams you can use:
- Phainon + Sunday + Bronya + Luocha
- Phainon + Cerydra + Sunday + Luocha
- Phainon + Trailblazer Remembrance + Tingyun + Lynx (F2P Friendly)
- Phainon + Sparkle + Cerydra + Huohuo
- Phainon + Tribbie + Sunday + Hyacine
- Phainon + Trailblazer Remembrance + Tingyun + Gallagher (F2P Friendly)
