Boothill HSR Build Recommendation

Boothill has a different playstyle from other Hunt characters. He doesn't just focus on CRIT or regular ATK, but more on Break Effect.
Yep, Boothill's main damage comes from the enemy's Break effect, especially when he's already in duel mode. Therefore, Boothill's build must be adjusted so that he can maximize his damage potential.
Best Light Cone: Sailing Towards A Second Life
This is a 5-star Light Cone that is specifically designed for Boothill. In addition to increasing CRIT Rate and ATK, the additional effect is very synergistic with Boothill's duel kit. If you have this Light Cone, immediately install it without hesitation.
Best Relics & Ornaments
Relic Set:
- Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge (4 Sets)
This Relic is the most suitable option for Boothill because it immediately increases his Break Effect. Its main advantage is that Boothill's Break damage can penetrate enemy defenses, making his attacks even more painful.
Planar Ornament:
- Talia: Kingdom of Banditry
This ornament also boosts Break Effect and its maximum effect will be active if Boothill's SPD is at least 145. So, make sure you chase SPD from the right substats or Relics.
An alternative if you can't get that much SPD is Glamoth, but Talia is still much more optimal.
Main Stats & Substats Boothill
Slots | Main Stat |
Body | CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG |
Feet | SPD |
Sphere | Physical DMG Boost |
Ropes | Break Effects |
Priority Substates:
- ★★★ Break Effect
- ★★★ SPD
- ★★ CRIT Rate
- ★★ CRIT DMG
Why is Break Effect so important? Because most of Boothill's damage comes from Break DMG, not regular attacks.
The higher the Break Effect value, the more devastating the impact is when fighting. On the other hand, SPD also has a crucial role because the higher the speed, the more often it gets a turn to attack enemies who are in Weakness Broken condition.
Best team

Boothill is capable of producing high damage thanks to his deadly duel and Break DMG abilities. However, in order for his performance to be truly optimal, you need to combine him with a team that can provide support through additional Break effects, ATK/SPD increases, and solid sustain.
Here are some recommended F2P teams that you can use!
Roles | Character |
---|---|
DPS | Boothill |
support | Trailblazer (Imaginary – Harmony) |
support | Asta |
Sustain | Natasha |
Composition Explanation:
- Boothill: Main DPS who relies on Break Effect and duel skills to silence the main target.
- Trailblazer (Imaginary): Gives Break Effect to the entire team through his skills, plus additional Super Break DMG which is very synergistic with Boothill's playing style.
- Asta: Increases the entire team's SPD and gives an ATK buff through his Ultimate.
- Natasha: She is a favorite F2P healer with stable healing abilities, perfect for guarding Boothill who is often targeted by opponents due to his dueling-focused fighting style.
With the support of Harmony Trailblazer and Asta, Boothill will get a significant increase in Break Effect and ATK/SPD.
This directly increases his damage potential, especially when the enemy is in a duel state.
Coupled with Natasha's stable heal, you can play Boothill's aggressive style more safely without fear of being KO first.
Boothill Playing Tips

Here are some tips for playing Boothill that can help you dominate the fight:
Take Advantage of Skills
Every time you use Boothill's Skill to challenge an enemy to a duel, his Basic ATK will become a more painful enhanced version. So, don't hesitate to spam Skills while the duel is active so that his Basic ATK damage becomes even more brutal.
Use Talent to Destroy Enemy Toughness
Boothill will show his action during the duel, with a special ability that can speed up the reduction of the opponent's Toughness. This is very important, especially if you are fighting a boss or elite enemy who has a thick shield.
Ultimate to Delay Enemy Action
Ultimate Boothill not only does high damage, but it also does it delayed enemy's turn. Use Ultimate at the right timing, especially when the enemy is almost attacking, to buy time and give your team a chance to finish the fight more safely.
Technical Advantage: Physical Weakness
Boothill has a Technique that makes enemies immediately get Physical Weakness before the battle begins. This is a big advantage, especially if the enemy initially has no Weakness to Physical. Use his Technique before entering an important battle like a domain boss or Simulated Universe!
Make sure Energy Regen is stable
Since Boothill relies heavily on his Ultimate and Skill, make sure you have enough Energy Regen from Relics or supports like Tingyun or Bronya. That way, his duel and ultimate cycle won't be interrupted.
Boothill HSR is not an ordinary character, he needs a little strategy, a mature build, and the right team support to shine.
