Back 4 Blood has two different game modes, four player co-op PvE, where players have to face hordes of zombies, some with unique abilities, and 4v4 PvP, where four players play as cleaners while another four play as Ridden.

You can play solo or team up with up to three other players to battle your way through the cooperative campaign. While the levels may look similar, Back 4 Blood makes use of the card system to drastically set them apart.

As for the Swarm multiplayer PvP mode, one team controls Ridden while the other team takes on the role of Cleaner.

Each team has unique weapons and abilities, and with each round, players are offered more advantages and upgrades.

With game modes, Back 4 Blood perfects the art of repetition, as each round is set up differently, even though it's on the same map, due to the many card systems.
