History of champions MPL ID again recorded a new chapter after Bigetron by Vitality successfully won Season 17 by defeating ONIC in the Grand Final. This victory also ended ONIC's long reign of dominance, which had dominated the MPL Indonesia stage for the past several seasons.

A major surprise came in Season 17 when Bigetron performed exceptionally and became the new champions of MPL Indonesia. The "Red Robot" team consistently performed in the Playoffs, despite having to make it to the lower bracket.
