A Glance at Zibai in Genshin Impact

You may know this character, commonly known as the Adepti White Horse, from Luna 4's Lantern Rite.

Luna 4's version of Lantern Rite itself tells the story zhongli, Liyue's Geo Archon, asks the Traveler for help in bringing back this Adepti by collecting the pieces of his soul.

As the story progresses, it is revealed that Zibai is closely related to the Moon and Lan Gan, the extinct ancient city of Liyue that we know today as Chasm.

The Zibai are angels, a race created by Celestia as messengers to guide the human race when the Heavenly Principals became the leaders of Teyvat. 

One of the Four Shades, Istaroth, gave her the Moon Wheel as a sign that he was also an envoy from the Lunar Palace or a representative of the Moon Sisters.

The Goddess of Earth and Grain died protecting the people of Lan Gan after the Celestia Nail was dropped on the site. Istaroth then split Zibai's soul into three pieces: Ziju, Zizhi, and Ziqiao.

With the return of Columbina as the Frost Moon as told in Archon Quest Luna, the moon in Teyvat returned to being a real moon and for the first time experienced the phenomenon of a Lunar Eclipse.

In this phenomenon, if Zibai's soul is not reunited, it will result in his existence being lost.

Therefore, Zhongli asked the Traveler for help to gather Zibai's three souls to revive him.

Prioritizing Skills and Talent Rotation

As a character playable, Zibai is a Geo element user character and the first DPS to introduce the Lunar-Crystalline reaction.

Lunar-Crystalline is active when Hydro Crystalline occurs (Hydro reacts with Geo elements) and is converted into a Lunar attack by a character who gets the Moonsign passive. 

The sign of this attack being active will appear in the area around the enemy in the form of 3 golden crescent-shaped pillars.

Zibai's Elemental Skill has 2 versions, namely an umbrella image to activate the character's Lunar phase, and will change the attack to Lunar-Crystalline if the team has reached Ascendant Gleam (there are two Lunar characters including Zibai).

Using Elemental Burst will extend this Lunar phase the longer it lasts.

After you attack 4 times using Normal Attack, the Elemental Skill will change phase to a horse image which will increase the DMG of this Lunar-Crystalline based on Zibai's DMG.

The rotation you use is: Elemental Skill > Normal Attack 4x > Second Elemental Skill > Elemental Burst > repeat phase.

Since all talents are needed, your priority is to maximize all levels of Zibai's talents.

Zibai Genshin Impact Build Recommendations

With the game focusing on Lunar-Crystalline reactions, all build Zibai will focus on maximizing gameplay This Lunar-Crystalline.

Constellation Recommendations

Zibai is actually very good at C(0). However, C(2) is a constellation that shows significant differences from C(0).

This is because C(2) will increase Lunar DMG and DMG calculated from Zibai's DEF from Zibai's second Elemental Skill.

Artifact and Weapon Recommendations

DEF is the most important stat for Zibai because it will increase the total DMG dealt, not ATK.

Crit Rate and DMG are your next priorities for maximizing Zibai's stats. Keep in mind that Lunar reactions are different from typical elemental reactions.

Therefore, ATK and Geo Damage Bonus stats are unnecessary. The next stats you need are Elemental Mastery and Energy Recharge. 

The author's recommendation for the total stats Zibai needs is as follows:

• DEF: min. 2500
• Crit DMG: 160% – 200%
• Crit Rate: 80% – 100%
• Energy Recharge: min. 110
• Elemental Mastery: min. 100 – 120

Artifact Night of the Sky's Unveiling is the best choice for Zibai, where this artifact is indeed intended for Lunar DPS.

Another option is Husk of Opulent Dreams For Geo DPS who use DEF for high DMG calculations, a 2-PC Husk of Opulent Dreams and Wanderer Troupe combo could also be an option.

The best weapon is definitely the Lightbearing Moonshard, which you can obtain along with the Zibai banner. Alternatively, you can use:

• The Untamed Uraku
• Light of Foliar Incision
• Harbinger of Dawn (new player and F2P friendly)
• Cinnabar Spindle
• Flute of Ezpitzal (F2P friendly, can be obtained from crafting).

Team Recommendations for Zibai

Team Zibai can be considered easy due to its simple lineup and F2P-friendly nature. But it's also difficult due to the limited character choices within the team.

As a Lunar DPS character, gameplay Zibai is of course focused on the Lunar-Crystalline reaction and it is not recommended to use a team outside of that reaction and it is mandatory to activate Ascendant Gleam.

Now, to activate Ascendant Gleam, you'll need another Nod-Krai character, also a Moon Wheel user. Another Geo character, as it speeds up Lunar-Crystalline reactions.

Since the focus is on Lunar-Crystalline, you will only need the character Hydro and Geo This of course limits the character choices you can use, given that Geo support is still limited.

Columbina, Illuga, Aino, Ineffa, and Jahoda could be options to become support Zibai for Moonsign characters. Here is an example team for Zibai:

• Zibai + Columbia + Illuga + Aino
• Zibai + Zhongli + Illuga + Columbina
• Zibai + Illuga + Xingqiu + Gorou (F2P friendly)
• Zibai + Traveler (Geo) + Aino + Gorou (F2P friendly)
• Zibai + Aino + Ineffa + illuga
