Minecraft 1.20 Update Presents Trim Armor Templates

Minecraft is one of the most popular games to date. This prompted game developers to bring back the Minecraft 1.20 update with the new Trim Armor template.

In this game, you will face various monsters. To protect yourself from these monsters, you can use to get armor at the beginning of the journey so you can survive.

However, so far there have been no significant changes to the armor equipment system in the game. For those of you who like this game, in update 1.20, Minecraft will bring changes and costumes to armor. So, you can make your own armor.

The new feature has been added in the latest snapshot, and Minecraft has previewed its use in the game. Interesting right?

Minecraft 1.20 Update Release Date

This Minecraft update is scheduled for mid-2023. This update will add a lot of new things to the game. The latest officially announced change concerns armor, which will now be more customizable.

In October 2022, Mojang held a Minecraft Live where they revealed a lot about the game's next update, including which mob won the Mob Vot.. They also revealed that update 1.20 would be coming in mid-2023.

As of now, there is no official release date yet. That could be out until December, but it could also mean February. The most likely option is in the middle of the year, but keep an eye on Mojang's social media as they will announce an official release date sooner or later.

Trim Armor Templates in Minecraft Update 1.20

In order to customize the Vicigers armor in the latest snapshot, you will need the smithing trim armor template. Customizing armor in survival game mode is not something players do often as it is an item that cannot be crafted and can only be obtained from many naturally generated structures. 

There are a total of eleven different trim templates. When you use it to customize the armor, the template you use will represent the trim design.

Here is all the structure in Minecraft updates 1.20 different and templates that players can find in it:

• Pillager Outpost: Sentry Armor Trim
• Desert Pyramids: Armor Trim Mounds
• Shipwreck: Coast Armor Trim
• Forest Shrine: Wild Armor Trim
• Ocean Monument: Tide Armor Trim
• Ancient Town: Ward Armor Trim
• Woodland Mansion: Vex Armor Trim
• Nether Fortress: Rib Armor Trim
• Bastion Remnant: Snout Armor Trim
• Stronghold: Trim Eye Shield
• Final City: Peak Armor Trim

On all of the above structures except the sea monument, the template is generated as a loot chest in the Minecraft 1.20 update. Vicigers must defeat monsters to get the template from the sea monument. 

The guard can drop a maximum of one tidal armor trim, and Vicigers won't get it every time. The chance of an older monster dropping the template was a mere 20 percent.

While exploring the bastion, Vicigers can find trim armor smithing templates as well as smithing upgrade templates netherite. This is a new item in the update Minecraft 1.20 necessary toupgrades diamond equipment to be netherite.

Once you have the template you want, you'll need materials to apply it to. Making armor depends on the materials you will use.

There are ten materials in total that will be used in the template. Keep in mind that you cannot apply templates from one material to armor of the same type (iron trim cannot be applied to armor, for example). The following is the material it is made of;

• Amethyst Shard
• Copper Ingots
• Diamond
• Emerald 
• Gold Ingots
• Iron Ingots
• Lapis Lazuli
• Nether Quartz 
• Netherite Ingots
• Redstone Dust

Once you have the templates, materials, and armor you want to use, you can open the smithing table, place items in their respective slots, and remove your newly trimmed armor. You can then equip yourself with custom armor and show it off to other players.
