This is the first time during the 2025 MSC that the Indonesian team has not had a chance to compete in the second match. And perhaps that's a particular "disaster" for the players. Land of Dawn homeland.
Although the match was very intense and full of tit-for-tat action, in fact, this was the first heavy blow for the Indonesian team: they had to pack their bags and go home.
In game #1, both teams were able to apply pressure and counter objectives. However, a teamfight victory initiated by Idok's Badang in the 20th minute proved fruitful.
As a result, RRQ was wiped out, winning with a final score of 20-31! Just warming up, SRG turned things around by dominating game #2 and winning (24-6).
In game #3, RRQ initially held a narrow lead until the mid-game. However, a loss in the second Lord contest (12 minutes) allowed SRG to snowball and win 17-9.
As game point for SRG, #4's game didn't deliver the results they had hoped for. With their crowd control, area of effect, and sustain capabilities, RRQ became unstoppable.
It took just under 11 minutes for RRQ to win the #4 game with a final score of 13-2. It was in the #5 game that the fate of both teams was decided. This time, both teams appeared very cautious.
Both players wanted to capitalize on their opponents' blunders rather than going all-in in a mega fauna contest or a major/minor war. This was evident in the 14th minute when RRQ's communication broke down.
Granger-ToYy, who were caught by Gloo-KRAMM, became the target of their own team, while the RRQ fighter duo had already advanced forward without following up: they fell in vain.
With one SRG member swapped for three from RRQ, the former MSC 2024 champions easily took advantage of the situation: winning game #5 (13-4). NT RRQ!
ONIC Esports PH (ONPH): 3 vs. Team Spirit (TS): 1
The final match in this game pits the Filipino team, the current MLBB world champions: ONPH, against the “dark horse” team from the Russian plains league, TS.
Many predicted this game would be a one-sided affair. However, those predictions initially proved to be "unrealistic," as TS was able to match the dynamics of a world-class team.
Even though ONPH's gold laner also got Wanwan, ONESHOT's Yi Sun-shin (TS's jungler) remained unstoppable. In less than 14 minutes, TS was able to win with a score of 13-2!
But ONPH wouldn't be world champions if they were to be "mentally defeated" so easily. In game #2, ONPH demonstrated that they aren't a team that relies solely on luck.
Competing against each other in terms of Jungler utility meta, sustain capacity from Fredrinn + ONPH's Lapu-Lapu was able to destroy all of TS's turrets at the end of the 13th minute – score 22-9 for ONPH.
As if to catch their breath, ONPH switched to a jungler-assassin meta in game #3. If only TS hadn't overcommitted and made a blunder in the 29th minute, they could have won.
But the result was a 1-0 draw for ONPH (28-19). As a team competing at the international level, TS still lacks one crucial skill: discipline.
And this proved fatal for them in game #4. Despite leading from the start, blunder after blunder allowed ONPH to close out the match and win 17-10.
