Cid Kagenou Profile

Cid Kagenou is one of the protagonist characters in the anime, manga, web novels and light novels The Eminence in Shadow who plays the role of Leader in Shadow Garden.

The Eminence in Shadow (Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!) is a dark-fantasy and comedy series by Daisuke Aizawa published by Shosetsuka ni Naro in May 2018.

The Light Novel version was written by Daisuki Aizawa and illustrated by Tozai which was released on November 5, 2018.

Then, the Manga version was written by Daisuke Aizawa and illustrated by Anri Sakano which was serialized in Comp Ace by Kadokawa Shoten on December 26, 2018.

Meanwhile, the anime was produced by Nexus and aired on October 5, 2020 – December 20, 2021 with a total of 32 episodes.

This anime is a dark fantasy comedy isekai series that tells the story of Cid Kagenou who was reincarnated from an ordinary life, then became the leader of a secret organization called Shadow Garden which has a mission to defeat the black cult.

He first appeared in the web novel Chapter 1, Light Novel Volume 1, Manga Chapter 1, Anime Episode 1 and Game Chapter 1 – Episode 1 of The Eminence in Shadow.

Cid Kagenou was 17 years old in his previous life and 16 years old after being reincarnated.

He is an athletic boy with short black hair and black eyes. As a student, he wears the Midgar Academy uniform: a dark blue blazer with gold shoulder straps, a white shirt, loafers, and navy blue trousers.

Then when he became Master Shadow, he wore a tight black outfit, gold and purple decorations on his jacket, shirt, pants and boots as well as a long hood that covered his head.

Before he died, Cid was named Minoru Kageno who lived in the modern world of Japan, he was a high school student who was obsessed with the role of a mysterious anti-hero who arranged everything from behind, so he trained physically and mentally to become such a person.
