Genshin Impact Durin Build Recommendation: Skills, Weapons, Artifacts, Party

After years of being a legend and part of Dragonspine lore, the dragon Durin is finally here as a playable character in Dragonspine. Genshin Impact.

As the first 5-star Pyro character to introduce the Hexerei Resonance system, Durin offers incredible complexity and potential to teams.

His unique character with White & Dark form allows flexibility as both a Main DPS and a solid SUB-DPS.

A Glimpse into Genshin Impact's Durin

Durin is closely associated with Dragonspine and Simulanka. As a dragon, Durin was a creation of Rhinedottir, who also created Albedo.

As a dragon, Durin once caused chaos until he finally died fighting Dvalin.

However, the dragon's remaining abyssal power remains, indicated by its still-beating heart in Dragonspine. This power is what creates the anomaly in Dragonspine.

Another Durin is Mini Durin. This version is a small dragon character in Simulanka, a fictional storybook world created by one of the Hexenzirkel, the Wizard M, also known as Andestrotter.

Andestrotter or called by Alice as Anya revives the dragon Durin in a story because she feels Durin has not received a proper ending and instead died because he was misunderstood.

Anya then created a story about how Durin could go on a new adventure, making Albedo help Durin become a Homonculus by implanting Durin's heart into Durin's mini body so he could live and achieve his goal of being friends.

Prioritizing Skills and Talent Rotation

As a playable character, Durin is a 5-star Pyro DPS or Sub DPS character who first introduced the Hexerei resonance system.

Hexerai is an exclusive buff mechanism that connects certain characters, such as Venti Klee, Albedo, Fischl, and Razor.

This additional buff effect will be obtained after completing a special story mission entitled “Witch Homework”.

If there are two characters who are considered part of the Hexerei in one team, this buff will have a bigger impact on the team.

Hexerei: Secret Rite or Hexerei buff for Durin himself is that all of Durin's attacks will get a DMG buff except for duration.

In terms of skill, according to the author, Durin is a combination of Bennett and Xiangling is known for providing solid Pyro applications and Melt or Vaporize team support.

The most significant difference between Durin and the two characters above is the mechanism that differentiates Durin's functions.

Durin's mechanics consist of two forms: White and Dark. This difference is clearly visible when using this dragon's Elemental Skill.

Elemental Skills > Elemental Skills When used, it automatically activates White form. This attack deals Pyro DMG and lowers the enemy's RES.

This form will later produce Elemental Burst AoE Pyro which is similar to Xiangling. 

If after use Elemental Skill > Normal Attack If you press the Elemental Skill again, Durin will enter Dark form. This form will increase Durin's DMG.

Elemental Burst that produces Pyro missiles which continuously shoots Pyro DMG will be generated from this form.

For the rotation:

• White: Elemental Skill -> Normal Attack -> Elemental Burst
• Dark: Elemental Skill -> Elemental Skill -> Elemental Burst

When should you use this form? In my opinion, if Durin spends most of his time in an off-field position (not the main attacker), then the White form can be the best choice.

Meanwhile, the author himself doesn't use Dark very often because the attacks are narrower against fewer enemies.

However, it would be great for the switch team because Durin's DMG output is greater.

Elemental Burst and Elemental Skill play an important role in build, so you have to increase both of their talent levels to level 10.

Genshin Impact Durin Build Recommendations

Since Durin has 2 different forms, namely White and Dark, the recommended character build will support both forms.

Constellation Recommendations

Durin's potential is clearly visible in his C(1) constellation. At C(1), after Durin uses Elemental Burst, all characters in the party will gain 20 stacks of Cycle of Enlightenment.

Using this Cycle of Enlightenment from all character attacks will increase Durin's ATK and DMG from all talents.

However, C(0) could be a start because as a Sub – DPS Durin prioritizes stats, weapons, and team.

Artifact and Weapon Recommendations

Durin's advantage over other Pyro supports is does not require large Energy Recharged. Especially if the talent level is already at maximum level 10, Energy Recharged can be said to be eliminated.

So, the talent levels for Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst are very important for you to prioritize. For stats, you should aim for:

• ATK: minimum 2000
• Crit DMG: minimum 200% or more
• Crit. Rate: 60% – 70%

Currently, Durin can be optimized with several proven artifact sets. Recommended ones are Noblesse Oblige, Emblem of Severed Fate, and Crimson Witch of Flames.

The set is very fitting for his role as a Pyro character with an Elemental Burst focus.

There is no best artifact that the author can recommend at this time because there is no specific artifact for Durin.

Durin's best weapon is Athame Artist which is a weapon released alongside Durin. You can look for alternative weapons that focus on increasing Crit Rate, Crit DMG, or Burst DMG, such as:

Team Recommendations for Durin

The author has tried Durin in various teams, and Durin can be said to be flexible enough for you to use in various teams and DPS.

Druin's best potential will truly shine in a team that relies on elemental reactions, particularly Vaporize and Melt.

In addition, the Overload combination can also be an option that presents dynamic and fun gameplay.

Due to Durin's function, this dragon is very suitable for you to use as a Sub DPS for Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, Hydro, or Dendro as DPS.

Since Durin's team relies heavily on elemental reactions, you'll need a Pyro character to be battery minimum 1 character.
