MLBB's 4 New Annual Map Modes Explained

Still in the series of its 10th anniversary, Moonton then overhauled the four MLBB map modes which have been running for approximately four seasons (one year).

Yep, it's an "annual" map, so it's only going to last once a year. So, if you're curious about the changes and the latest meta, check it out!

Annual Map in MLBB

Before we get into the main discussion, it's a good idea to first discuss the annual map in MLBB so that all Vicigers can understand the ins and outs of this feature more clearly.

Maybe the name is still a little familiar, but as for the features themselves, I'm sure all the Land of Dawn players who diligently push rank have definitely experienced it.

So, what we mean is that the map modes are randomized each match. Initially, Moonton only introduced four: Broken Walls, Dangerous Grass, Expanding River, and Flying Cloud.

Coinciding with its anniversary this year, Moonton is retiring several of them. "Annual" means "yearly," so of course, there will be new ones every year.

That way, it is hoped that the Land of Dawn players will not get bored easily and there will always be a new META that aligns with the four types of map modes for that year.

4 New Modes in the MLBB Annual Map

Without further ado, let's get straight to the main discussion: the four new modes in MLBB's annual map. Here are the details:

Flying Cloud

Of the four previous modes, Flying Cloud remains the only one that remains. Indeed, compared to the others, it's the only one that's universal (suitable for any meta and any hero).

It's no surprise that this mode is still popular. The mechanics are simple: players ride clouds at their base, which can help their heroes return to the battlefield more quickly.

Golden Turret

Next, something somewhat similar to the existing mechanic: the Golden Turret. As we know, in the early game, the Outer Turret has a shield that, when destroyed, grants gold.

Now, in this mode, the "extra" gold isn't just from the shield, but also from turret destruction. The gold is also divided equally among all players on the team. So, focus on pushing in this mode!

Healing Turtle

The third is the Healing Turtle. Previously, when a team successfully captured a Turtle, the bonus was extra gold and EXP, as well as a shield that lasted for a while.

But in this mode, Turtle will also drop into battle (like Lord). Besides spawning in a lane, Turtle also heals nearby heroes. So, make sure to push all five of them into that lane!

Revealing Wisps

And the final mode is Revealing Wisps. In other MOBAs, this has become a permanent feature because their maps are generally much larger and more complex.

Meanwhile, in MLBB, this mode will feature plants growing throughout the Land of Dawn. When players "eat" them, enemies hiding within a certain radius will be revealed!
